I feel so bad for you. My parents are paying for the reception and we are paying for everything else, but if my dad turned around and said I am not paying for it, I would be so pist. I would check your contract, cause I know that mine says that no matter what the reason if the wedding is cancelled we get all of our money back.

Maybe your dad is just worried about what ever is going on with his heart. I had a heart procedure Sept. 2004 and I know I was so stressed that I kind of toook it out on everyone. Have you tried telling him how you feel and how you will lose so much money.

Well girls i think the wedding is off.... my dad came to a decision today that he is not paying for the wedding. he thinks that $30,000 is crazy for one night.. only 169 days left and this is what i get.... fh parents won't pay even half.... (it is not there job) grrrrrrrrrrrr dad is set on going to the bahamas to get married and fh says taht is crazy and not going.... gosh now what i am in this in the middle and everything is booked i am never getting the wedding of my dreams.... i am so upset and fh is not home because he is at the ranger game for his fav player retireing tonight............. please help me girls!

I just want to say, I do not think it is anyone's 'job' to pay for your wedding. You can have a small wedding and pull it off. I wish you and your fh the best !!

Nicole I just read everything and I am so sorry! But I think Brentwood is a great idea. It really is a nice place, and it's all about the people and the fact that you're marrying the love of your life. If you need anything you have my number.
