Re: Weight loss support thread

This is a great idea!! WW and the Beverly Hills diet are the only things that worked for me. I lost 20 pounds in 3 months!!! Now let's hope I can keep it off!!!

So, for those that dont go to the gym...when and how often do you excersize??? What do you do????

when i don't go to the gym, I try to walk around. perhaps you can drive to the nearest park or lake and take an nightly walk (or run) around it (just be sure to keep the pace up- not strolling) or a high school track nearby _I don't really know LI that well)

also there is a thread somewhere about a tv channel that gives workouts...perhaps someone remembers the station or has/is using it (sorry I forgot it!)

Congrats on joining WW! I'm actually leaving to go to my meeting now! I've been on it for about 5 months now. I've lost 22 pounds and went from a size 12 to a size 8!
So, WW works great for me!
GOOD LUCK!!!
STAY MOTIVATED!
YOU CAN DO IT!

Congrats!! Today is my 5th day and I feel really good. I am definitely more aware of my portion sizes. I am going to a wedding Sat. night so let's hope that I can continue to be good.

It's on Channel 168 but only if you have IO cable. It's called MagRack and you can pick from a list of different quick work-outs that are geared towards specific areas of your body. They're all about 10-15 mins and are great for a 'quick fix' when you don't have a lot of time.

Also, I 2nd the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches. Yum!!!

I'm thinking about trying the Zone diet... but I don't really know very much about it... I'm hoping maybe some of you do, or have had some experience with it. TIA!

I am so happy right now...

I had my first WW weigh in this morning and....

I lost 2.4 pounds! And I went to dinner last night at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse!!! I am so happy. So I decided to get a manicure and pedicure today!

I joined NYSC and have NO ONE to go with. Trying to convince my FI to go with me, but I may as well be pulling a brick wall.

Does anyone have a NYSC membership that lives in eastern Nassau or western Suffolk that wants a gym partner? It's hard to stay motivated on your own!!

Re: Weight loss support thread

i've been seeing a nutritionist and have lost 15.5 pounds in the last 3 months. and it's great because it's totally covered by insurance and i don't pay a dime!

i do like to walk for an hour each night but don't always have someone to go with. if anyone lives in the lynbrook area and wants to walk, FM me!

I seriously considered it... but she has a few of them, and not all of them are supposed to be much of a workout and I couldn't figure out which one was the good one. Let me know how yours works out for you!

mini vent:
I am always hungry! I have always worked out and had a decent appetite but lately on the days after I workout, my stomach is constantly growling. I've eaten three times today and my stomach is empty again

Vent complete - thanks

I was using that a while ago but then I hurt my back (unrelated) and had to stop. I am going to try physical therapy and then when that's done I will go back to it or join the gym around the corner from my house.

Re: Weight loss support thread

Just wanted to check in with those that wanted extra support.

After a frustrating 2 weeks on WW, I lost 2 pounds and broke my plateau! I still have 8 more pounds to go, but I am happy!
