Weight Watchers Thread

Hi ladies. I thought maybe we could start a WW thread where we can talk or share recipes and motivate each other!

I'll start: I found a 2 point breakfast finally - yeahhh. I had eggwhites with spinach on low-carb bread, a cup of coffee with very little skim milk. And it was filling!

I want to try that cake that Princess Rose posted soon. Yummm - chocolate cake

I have to know what I can and cannot eat. You can do it Donna... come on here with us and we'll help you stay motivated ... believe me, I need all the help I can get!

Re: Weight Watchers Thread

I am back on WW and I missed my monday meeting so I am planning on going tonight so I don't miss the week. I don't have high hopes either because I just got back on after failing miserably...but count me in for this thread.

I want to be part of the support group. I had a smart ones dinner last night, chicken teryaki with white rice. Was not crazy about it. At least I am learning which meals are good and which ones are not. The smart ones spaghetti is good and tonight I may try the gnocchis.

Great idea!

I do WW On line now and am much happier than I was going to the meetings. With so many resources out there like WW on line, this and friends who do it, I have more than enough information!

Has anyone tried the new WW cookies & cream bars- amazing!!!! The only problem is that I eat them too fast and want more! So, now I put it in a bowl with a small tablespoon of fat free cool whip and it's like a cookie sunday! YUM!

Re: Weight Watchers Thread

Hey ladies

Here's one of my fav pasta recipes from WW. When you use FF cottage cheese and FF/Skim Ricotta cheese it cuts calories and wheat pasta (can't even tell the difference)

POINTS® value | 4
Servings | 6
Preparation Time | 20 min
Cooking Time | 20 min
Level of Difficulty | Easy

main meals | Mixing the ricotta with nonfat cottage cheese gives the filling more body and flavor while reducing the fat content.

Ingredients

1 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
1 cup fat-free cottage cheese
1 tsp table salt
1 tsp garlic powder, or to taste
1 Tbsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp black pepper
3 cup canned tomato sauce
1 pound cooked pasta, jumbo shells, approximately 24 shells

Instructions

- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Mix together cheeses, salt, garlic powder, oregano and pepper.
- Spread a few spoonfuls of tomato sauce on bottom of a 9- x 13-inch baking dish.
- When cooked shells are cool enough to handle, fill each shell with cheese mixture and place in baking dish. When all shells are in dish, spoon remaining tomato sauce over shells. Cover pan and bake for 20 minutes. Yields about 4 shells per serving.

NOTE: I usually add some shredded part skim mozzarella cheese (1/4 cup in ricotta/cottage cheese mixture and 3/4 cup to spinkle on top). It adds another 1 point per serving for a total of 5 points for 4 shells. I also add unsweetened diced tomatoes to the sauce, use fresh (or dried) herbs, a packet of Splenda and let it simmer.

I do WW online so I have access to a bunch of recipes. As I try new stuff I will share.

Hi fellow ww's!

i've been doing alright lately too. i could be better. i never seem to get my veggies in for the day grrr...

anyways, just thought i'd share, i've been eating 5 point dinners! first off, i really can't stand a lot of those microwaveable foods. so it's hard for me to find something low points that i like to eat at night.

perdue has these lo fat breaded chicken breasts. they are excellent!!!! and only 3 points!!! so i have one piece of chicken, a 2 pt hash brown and salad with some ff dressing and i'm good to go...5 pts!!! that leaves me plenty more for snacking mmmm...

Good Morning Azoodie,

Which of the meals have you tried because I eat some too. The spaghetting marinara is pretty good. Smartones also has pizzas. I have one in my freezer but I havent tried it yet.

I want to look for the perdue low fat breaded chicken. You don't have to have the smart ones if you don't like them. Look at your food companion book there so many things you can have besides the smart ones.

I have a question ladies. I missed my meeting on monday night and I haven't been able to go back any other day this week. So it looks I missed a whole complete week. What happens now??? do I get kicked off??? I am planning on going back monday night.

I think you are allowed to miss no more than 3 meetings ... I think you'll be OK. How are you doing for the rest of the week?

I'm doing good. Yesterday I actually came under my points by like 2. I really should of had a cookie or something Oh well, it's really OK. It's getting easier by the day although let's see how the weekend goes (always my downfall ....)

Well since I didn't go to my meeting I didn't have that little booklet to keep track of my points and I have been eating anything I want but not overdoing it. I am going back on Monday and being good this time.....start fresh once more. I don't even know how much I weigh now. I guess i'll have to pay for the week that I missed right?

I had to pay in advanced (through work) so I'm not sure how a regular meeting is. We do 'WWW' Weight Watcher @ Work.
Go Monday and talk to the leader ... their job is to be understanding and to help motivate you ...

Hi all!! I just started this last week so I don't have any recipes to share yet...but I need all the support I can get! I am having a very hard time keeping track of my points. Did anyone else find it hard to get into the point system in the beginning? Thanks!!

Re: Weight Watchers Thread

Absolutely- but soon, it will seem so normal that you will be estating points on everything! I tend to be off when I do that so I don't rely on it but soon, you will see that you will learn what makes a point a point and you'll be able to keep track! Writing it down was the hardest thing for me- I'd be great for a week and then forget for a few weeks. So, now I do it on line and it;s so much more fun! I do it after each meal and it's wonderful! It forces me to be more honest too!

Good luck!

I agree, doing it online is so much more effective for me. I'm on the computer all day so I'm less likely to forget. Also when you do it online you have access to their food points so you're less likely to guess.

Hi Fellow WW girls!

I too do WW online, and I'm MOSTLY good about it. I'm still not really journaling as much as I should, BUT I'm still doing great. At my meeting this week I was down to 166.5, but at my parents' house Friday morning, I was 165.5 on their digital scale! That brings my total to 27 pounds since buying my dress, which BTW I exchanged this week for one two sizes smaller!!!

Congrats, PrincessRose. That is so wonderful, keep up the good work!

Re: Weight Watchers Thread

Morning everyone! How was everyone's weekend. It was a bit tough for me. Friday night we had friends come over for take out. Saturday we went out with friends to City Island and Sunday I had a Christening. I totally blew up the diet at the Christening - I think I ate about 17 flex points in one day!

Oh well, the rest of the week I'll have to be good!

Good morning ladies, Hope you all had a good weekend.

Bedda, I'm gonna jump back on the wagon with you. I have been so bad this weekend. I didn't earn any activity points this week and haven't journaled since Friday afternoon. I am gonna try to be on the up and up today and tomorrow by journaling and exercising.
