Weight Watchers...again

Original post by Thrilled

Just ignore if you don't want to read this...
I have tried and failed WW now 6 times. I checked my bank balance yesterday and saw that WW had put through the online service (which I had approved and asked them for etc) and I took it as a sign to go ahead and give it one last go. ON top of that Fergie was on Larry King Live last night and she looks friggin fabulous...another sign.

So I need lots of support!!! Let's hang in there together. I'm getting married 9-6-03, so the way I figure it, I have about 34 weeks or so to lose 25-40 lbs, which can be done! HELP ME GIRLS!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

I lost 3 last week i need to put together my pounds jar and add 15 bucks to it...yea...but i think i am going to gain this week. i've been hitting my max points 3 days already and one day i had 27 points..

so this is a bad week...and now the GTG on friday and i have weigh in saturday morning...

so i think i gained back what i lost

though i am hoping that if i drink a lot of water i'll just flush the weight away and the extra points i ate.

You put that $15 in that jar and don't worry about it.....It was my idea and the rules are this:

a. $5 for every pound you lose
b. if you gain, the jar stays as is as not to deter you from your goal.
c. you can never take out of the jar for any reason unless you have reached your goal and are ready for your reward
d. the reward must tight!!!!!!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

thrilled, thank you for the pasta explanation! Ive been watching my points for a week and a half and lost 3 1/2 lbs. im ok with this, (trying to go easy on myself) its that time of the month and im hoping i will see more in a few days! Im not going to meetings but im checking this board every now and then for inspiration!!! (hope you guys don't feel used!) lol. Ill try to participate more oven, though and as I said the other day, you guys are the best!!! very helpful and I know we will all be successful in our goals!!
my biggest problems are not enough water (i try, really I do!) and not enough veggies/fruit.

But I can not tell you guys enough how great this board and all you girls are! good luck to US

Re: Weight Watchers...again

I had a really, really bad night last night! I am emotional eater and was upset with FH last night, so I dove into the pasta and the wine. I only went over by 10 pts, and can make that up by the next weigh-in, but I am so upset with myself. I knew when I was doing it that it was emotional eating and behavior and that it would cause me to go over points, but I did it anyway. I woke up totally remorseful and upset.

So I vowed to forgive myself and move ahead. HAd 3 pt oatmeal packet and a 1 pt banana so far today. Gonna have a 6 pt lunch and then will eat the bare minimum tonight to make up some of those pts.

Rachel, I am sorry about your pasta/wine night... I hope you and FH made up Next time, if you have a craving to eat, try to eat something low pointy, and always try to have the low pt food prepared (i.e. celery sticks cut up, etc)!!!

Welcome back on track and good job at the breakfast!!!

Good girl thrilled, forgive yourself and move on! That's all you can do! Looks like you had a great start for today!!! Keep up the good work! I too am an emotional eater! It stinks, sometimes I wish I would lose my appetite when upset, but I'm total opposite. Something else to deal with!

But anyway, I'm getting off the topic!!! Try to stay strong today, if something goes wrong, don't bEAT yourself up over it!

Thrilled, your lunch sounds good! I never thought of bringing frozen veggies to work for lunch, thanks for that great idea.

Re: Weight Watchers...again

hmi - When I was on WW before and was doing well on it - I was completely derailed by Sept 11 - I brought frozen spinach or broccoli everyday to work. Everyone used to call me the broccoli chick and laugh at me, but it worked. Zero points and very filling. Make sure you bring something to microwave it in, and make sure you have whatever condiment you need to make it edible - I am huge fan of lemon juice.

rachel, I brought fresh broccoli to work with me...
I ate too much last night at christmas party, and didn't even have breakfast today, jsut 2 cups of coffee, instead of my usual 1... So 2pts so far, salad for lunch and a huge dinner = > that's the plan

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Christmas party, ALina? You went to a Christmas party? I wish I could still celebrate Christmas!

I had the world's tiniest burger - swear to God, after cooking it was 2.85 ozs, which is SIX FRIGGIN POINTS (well, 3 ozs is)! I had it on an English muffin, a teeny piece of cheese, 8 tater tots (3 pts) and an enormous amount of salad. I'm not kidding, this teeny piece of burger could fit in your palm with room left to spare. FH was laughing and laughing...his burger of course, was 10 ozs after cooking.

Re: Weight Watchers...again

My work's Christmas party was postponed for a month due to snow...

Rachel, do you make your own burgers, and that's how you got the sizing different, or did you feed Larry like 3 of the mini burgers?

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Sometimes measuring is so evil, the other night I made a chicken breast that was 4 oz (palm size) prior to cooking- I swear the **** thing shrunk down to nothing after cooking, and looked so pathetic there on my plate surrounded on all sides by veggies FH had a ball laughing at me while he ate his huge piece.

Awe hmichick, sorry about your little chicken! Atleast you stayed strong!

Re: Weight Watchers...again

Alina - I bough 4 patties that totaled 1.0 lb so they were roughly 4 ozs each. I mashed two of them together with bread crumbs and egg and A-1 and all the usual crap I put in FH's burgers and made him a big fat patty that I grilled on the stovetop in olive oil. I then merely salt and peppered and garlic'ed my two patties and put them on the George Foreman. After grilling they had shrunk down to roughly 3 ozs each. I only ate one (6 pts) and threw the other out. I offered it to FH but he sneered at it and mocked its teeny pitiful size.

Thank, rachel... I am still working on my cooking skills

Re: Weight Watchers...again

LMAO, I am glad I am not the only one who has incredible shrinking food. Half the time, I look at my plate and think, thats it???? How am I supposed to get full on that???
Plus, I am on veggie overload, I cannot bear to think of or look at salad or anything green today, it makes me ill. I think that my body needs time to readjust to the new way of eating.
