Valentinegirl...when did you pick out the menu? Did you do everything, including cake, all in one sitting? Chiken Verdi sounds good!

We did it all in one sitting...menu, cake and linens. We even got our place cards and seating chart. I have to hand it all in the Monday before the wedding and we are done. It was fun!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

We are getting a band and the cocktail hour is included in the price. Are you sure yours isn't?
I know the ceremony is extra, but you should ask. Even if you got a DJ, I thought the cocktail hour was included with some light music, no?
I don't know.........

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Is cocktail hour usually included in the price of the band/DJ? I always thought it was extra and that is why only a few musicians would play (or maybe just one)

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I know my band included a keyboard for the cocktail hour. If we wanted additional pieces, that would be extra. We added a sax for I think around $150.

She was helpful. She doesnt rush at all. You can go at your own pace. I had everything ready when I got there though, menu and cake choices. She actually suggested things to help us w/ the menu.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hey guys, just got back from making final arrangements at Westbury Manor. Worked with Kelly and she was very helpful. For those of you who have already made your selections...did you work from the 4 seasons menu or did you do that new 7 course choice menu?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Glad everything went well Moehick. I am going to stick with the four choices and not add on the additional selections. I think there is so much food to begin with that it is not needed. Plus, we are having a venetian hour. Where you able to taste your selections?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I decided to stay with the 4 choices as well. You are right there are so many food choices to begin with. They did not have us taste any of the food, but I have been to affairs there before and the food is delicious!

WM was nice enough to request a payment now around the holidays. Wasn't that sweet?

Just thought I would bump this back up and stir up some new thoughts. Has anyone been to WM recently?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

My FH was there in the beggining of Dec for an office party. He said it is still beautiful!

Hey I am in the process of planning my honeymoon. what is everyone else doing for their honeymoons. We are trying to do 2 weeks in the Carribean. Hopefully one week in St. Lucia and the second week somewhere else. Does anyone have any suggestions for the second week? This is assuming we can swing it financially (which at the moment doesn't seem posisble but I will make it work somehow)

Also if anyone doesn't mind sharing how much they are spending on thier honeymoon please post it.

How do all the lights look for Christmas? They said they would be up in February for my wedding so maybe I can freeze and take pics outside at night.

He said the lights were amazing. Our wedding is in May but we were thinking of having a winter wedding there just for the lights!
