Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

We just drove by the other night to show my sister from out of town what it looks like. All the trees had white lights and it looked very classy. I love that place.

As for the honeymoon, Aruba is a great place. It's the same distance away as St. Lucia. We stayed at the Radison and loved it. There are a lot of things to do in the day. At night, there is pretty much casinos and shows. There are also bars/clubs, but we didn't go with just the 2 of us. If anyone is interested in Aruba, you can FM. I would go there for our honeymoon if we didn't already go. We are going to try and swing Hawaii since we figure when in our life will we get the opportunity to go again? We don't know where in Hawaii yet........... Any thoughts?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hi,

I visited WM this weekend and thought the grounds were really pretty! I really didn't like our BM though. He was very disinterested and we waited about 30-40 minutes before we were able to meet with him. Granted I didn't make an appointment but many of the other sites we went to, we were talked to right away. We didn't really have a great experience with him. We felt he was not very helpful in answering our questions. Is this normal of the Banquet Managers at this place? I have read some of you had really good experiences with your banquet manager. Do you know if it is possible to get another tour/introduction to the place with another person? I felt we were cheated in our experience.

I forgot to add. I haven't booked a place yet. I am just visiting different reception halls and trying to decide. I was very disappointed in the service we received from this guy.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I was there today to take a look around at the 'winter-theme' since I am getting married next January. It's really pretty and not over done (like I feared) ... I took lots of photo's of the rooms and decorations so I know my plan for next year!
They are still doing work in the Manor Room - they are repainting the entrance, and it looked like working on the windows around the room.

Juizai, Who did you work with? We worked with Dave and he sold us right away. We didn't have to wait either and we didn't have an appointment. Maybe it's because of the holiday season???? We went towards the end of the summer. Let us know who you met with.

Susan is our BM and she has been awesome so far. She always calls me back and answers my annoying questions!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

How do you get a BM? I met with Dave the first time because he was available. Does that mean he will be who I do all the final details with, like the menu and stuff?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

So, even though Dave signed up up and did the contract with us, we can still use Susan? I would prefer a woman because she would probably care more about the details, no? (not to sound sexist )

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hi I got married at Westbury Manor in September and it was great-- I never reactivated my old account but I just wanted to show you a pic of my centerpiece and cake because I know it is helpful. We used the Manor Room

Does anyone know what type of cake stands we have to chose from at WM?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I didn't know there was a choice for cake stands. Susan just showed me one that was silver and looked similar to the one in the above picture, but I thought I little higher. But my eyes could be playing tricks and it could be that same one.

I don't think there is a choice of cake stands. When I picked out my menu they didn't mention anything.

Oh well, I guess it was nice to entertain the thought.

Anything new with the WM brides?
