Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I think some of my family and friends may have tipped some of the waiters themselves but that was voluntary b/c the waiters were so awesome and attentive!

Florist: $10 per delivery person
Limo Drivers: $25 each b/c their gratuity was
included.
Hair/Makeup: 20%
Video/Photg $100-150 b/w the owner and the assistant
My DJ owned his own company so I just tipped the assistant.

Thanks for the tipping info. I was wondering, too. I like the idea of not sealing the envelope until the end, too. That way I can adjust according to service.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I don't think I am using the WM placecards. I have been feeling pretty crafty lately so I just bought a pack of placecards from Paper Access that are this shimmery cream color and I am thinking of hot glueing a flower in cornflower blue (my BM color) to one side and twisting the stem into a spiral. Probably makes no sense!!!! I also just sent one of the placecards to my calligrapher to see if she would be able to write on them since they are shimmery. Hopefully it will all work out and I will remain in this creative mood for a little longer!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I am debating on doing my own placecards. I think I might use the ones provided. Everything is getting expensive.

Is anybody actually assigned seats or just tables?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I am assigning just tables. I am not sure what place cards I am going to use. I actually forgot about them until reading the last few messages on this board.

Do most people hand print the table cards or do they have the calligraphers do them?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I think I want to do a seating chart instead of place cards all together. I was going to do something with postcards but that got all crazy and I wound up throwing away the paper I had to make them stand up in a fit one day.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I am just assigning tables. I think I have seen everything with placecards, people putting them through the computer, handwriting them, calligrapher, etc... I would just put them through the computer, but the ones I found are already detached so I think it would be too hard and I have no patience to write them all out!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I don't know what I will do with the placecards. I think everything will depend on how much time I have to do it.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Don't worry, I was even calling them 4 days before to make some changes to the tables and they were so helpful!

A week before you drop off your seating chart, final numbers, favors, placecards, table signs (if you are naming your tables), menus (if you are making them), table cameras, etc.
