Just to let you know. I went to a Bar Mitzvah at Westbury Manor yesterday. It was very nice. The only complaint I had was that they had the air conditioning on! As you all know the temperature was brutal yesterday! The room was so cold. We asked the waiters about 3 times to please turn it off and nothing was done. We finally complained to the manager and he turned it off! Everything else was beautiful!

When I first visited WM, Gennaro treated me and FH. He was great for us because I didn't want to be treated like a child (especially spending so much $$) and he was very forward and sincere.When we went back to sign up and hand in our down payment, Dave signed us up because Gennaro was not there. Dave had me cracking up!
So who is my BM?

anyone having an early (noon) ceremony there? I'm curious about timeline and hair people.
I am. I plan on having my hair and makeup people come to the hotel at 5:00 am. Which reminds me, I need to book the hotel...

Book the hotel as soon as you can. I am trying to block rooms now and just about everything in my area is booked. It just so happens that we are getting married the weekend of the US Open Golf Tournament and people are getting hotels all the way into Nassau even though the tournament is in Southampton5AM? I could never be up that early on my wedding day.

My best friend also had a day wedding and shockingly enough we were all up at 5:00 a.m. (when the hair stylist knocked on the door!) Well, half of us were up at 5 the other half got screamed at by the bride at 5:30
And since all those girls are in my wedding too I know it can be done (I had my doubts with my friend's wedding
)

I have been in a day wedding and we were up THAT early.
I would be a zombie all day if I got up at 5AM

The ceiling is white alabastor and it is in boxed sections (that description doesn't do it justice actually!) ... it's really beautiful.

I would guess that Dave would be your BM. When we originally visited WBM we met with Susan, but she was not available when we went to sign up. Gennaro assisted us, and Gennaro has been our contact since. I haven't heard a lot about him so I hope he is as good as Susan
We really liked her.

I have a question I dont remember if I read this here but for you girls in the garden room and having a vieneese hour will they do it on the terrace instead of on the dance floor. I am worried that it willt ake up too much room and time.Also what do there place cards look like for those of you who have gotten them.
And lastely what hotel are you all staying at afterwards?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
Sorry I can't help you with the Garden Room, but I do know what their placecards look like. Unless they changed them recently - they are cream colored with the maroon WM logo on the left hand side.Oh, and we are staying at the Wingate Inn. We blocked rooms there for our guests and since we have alot of people staying there, we wanted to stay with them.

Yep the place cards are cream colored and have the WM logo on the left -very classy, I used them to save the $$ and hassle - I have a calligrapher write the names so that looked really nice.We stayed in the bridal suite at the Fox Hollow Inn after the reception. I had my guests at the East Norwich Inn (near the church) and the Holiday Inn on Old Country Road.
