Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

My fiance and I went to Westbury Manor today to ask some questions. Vendors are 35 dollars per person. Is everyone feeding their band?
Did you all get flowers included with your cake?
I asked if students can come to the ceremony and they said yes.
Is anyone having the martini bar or tropical bar?

We are either having the Martini Bar or the Tropical Bar we just dont know which one are picking yet. But we will probably end up getting the Tropical Bar because we dont know many people who drink Martinis.

My band said they preferred not to be fed. They are there to work and don't want to feel full. I was planning on feeding them though. I told them to feel free to pop into cocktail hour.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I was thinking of possibly doing the votive place card holders. Do you think its possibly at the Westbury Manor? I don't remember the placecard table and am concerned if I'll have enough room to do them.

Anybody have other ideas of what you're doing for placecards? Thanks

Great! I love candles and was hoping to be able to do that to add some more to the room. Have you bought any supplies for it yet?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

As an FYI cudge.net has them super cheap you can buy the candle holders with the candle, but I was told to get the tea lights becuase they wont heat up the glass to much. The holders are 26 dollars for 72 and the tealights are 8 dollars for 100. I am using clear lables since I have them already and they will be easy to print on. Most people used vellum (sp). Play around and see what you liek best

I think I was told $1-2 pp for the maitre'd and I don't know, maybe $50-$100 for the bridal assistant? I think that's what I was told (suggested) by my banquet manager....

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I thought it was 2-3 p/p for the maitred and about 100-150 for the bridal assitant. I thought the waitors were included int he gratuity were paying.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

well how about this - I will NOT give the maitre'd $3 pp. ABSOFREAKINLUTELY not!

$2 pp for him - comes to about $300
and I'll give the bridal attendant between $100 to $150, depending on the job they do.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I thought the waitstaff gets that 18% that they tack on to your final bill...I really shouldn't complain - my estimated tip total is only about $600-$700. Sometimes it can be in the $1000 range.
