It was explained to me that the lawn and area right outside was for the Garden Room and the area over by the side where they have ceremonies was for the Manor Room

Do you mean during the reception? If so, the doors behind the bride and groom in the Manor Room open and that is the area for your guests. It is sort of sectioned off, but I suppose guests can wander where they choose. But technically that is the Manor Room area. If you are having a Venetian Hour that is where they set that up on a nice day also. During the cocktail hour the Manor Room has the area by the big fountain and the Garden Room has the other area over by the Gazebo. Hope that helps!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hi ladies! I'm up in July and was wondering if I should be hearing from them soon.

I have two questions.

If I don't make my own table number things, do they provide it? And would they provide a holder for any table number card I may make?

Second, what are the colors for the linens we choose. My BMs are wearing Euro Red.
Any suggestions? Or are the linens white or beige?

Thanks!

They do provide table numbers in very nice silver frames. I am trying to attach a pic, but I am not sure you will be able to see it. It is on the lower right side. But maybe a past bride has a better pic!

Also as far as linens, there are several colors to choose from including white and ivory. That is the bottom layer. The top layer is striped (in the color of your choice) and they gather it up on the sides in bunches. It looks so pretty!

If you can't get to the picture let me know!

The pic is too big - try going to this link and it is the picture with the all red rose centerpiece - if you make it bigger it is in the lower left corner.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hi ladies...I got married on Friday at Westbury...amazing!!! Everyone was raving about it. The bridal attendant and the maitre'd were excellent.

To answer the last question...they do provide the placecards. Also, my girls wore garnet and I originally chose a burgandy overlay for the tables (the tablecloths are all ivory) and ivory napkins, but decided the Monday before that I wanted to change the overlay to ivory and the napkins to burgandy...I figured it would look better that way for the centerpieces.

Anyhow, I will be posting a full review soon, but as far as the Westbury Manor goes...perfect. In fact, everyone there was wondering how no one we knew (and we're ALL married) has discovered this place yet!!!

No problem. I also realized if you look at the picture you can see the frame on the back table also. It is the WM logo with the number inside.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Silly question: Does WM provide any menus for the tables (one per couple or maybe just one per table) or do we have to provide our own

only if you picked that upgraded menu with 7 (or whatever #) choices do you get menus.

Should I be calling my vendors and checking in now? I mean, I haven't spoken with anyone since like January 2003 although I don't know what I would say to them...'hi, remember me? we signed a contract, you cashed my deposit check...' lol

does anyone have an answer for me??

I would call. Just say hi. See if there is anything you need to do between now and the wedding. Did you take engagement pics? How about interviews for your video on location? A centerpiece sample? Music selection?

Call them or e-mail them (how ever you communicated in the past)

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hey, we had our wedding there on the 19th. We went with the 7 choice menu. This was discounted for us because I don't think it was an option when we booked in June. Anyhow, the options were:
stuffed shrimp
chicken verdi
baby rack of lamb
vegetarian
chateau briand
salmon
and one other...gee I can't remember

I didn't eat much, but the shrimp was excellent and from some feedback I got, the salmon, the chicken and the lamb were delicious.

If the seven choice menu is an option for you...definitely go for it. The menus are printed and on each table. Also, all of your guests will be BLOWN AWAY and everyone will think you're a couple of big shots!!!!
