i just wasn't sure if you tip above the 18%.
Like in restaurants, even if gratuity is included, i always add more. (I like to give 20%, as long as its deserved)

Thanks. I was really happy with the job that Cynthia from Follow Your Heart did for us. She was quick and every envelope was perfect.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hi--I haven't been on for awhile..I read back a couple of posts and saw that someone was having a seafood boat. I didn't even know they had one, because I don't remember Frank every mentioning it. Can someone clarify?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I had a seafood boat added to my cocktail hour and it was a huge hit! I don't remember the extra cost though per person but it's definitely an add-on option.

It has different coldcuts, salami, cheeses, focaccia bread, Italian beer, etc... Slightly going overboard, but I couldn't help getting it!!!

I didn't even hear about that, but it sounds wonderful. My dad would spend the whole time there, I think

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

The seafood boat is a mixture of shrimp cocktail, clams, oysters, seafood salad etc.

Our price was $12 based on the extras menu we received but the latest price list has it at $15 PP. You can negotiate though.

We negotiated the pushcart and seafood boat when we booked so I don't know an exact price per person.

FH has been telling me for the longest that he wanted the seafood boat - but we didn't negotiate it when we signed our contract and now I don't know if I should add it or not...

We negotiated at our last meeting to finalize the menu. That is when they put in the extras, so you still have time

Nothing new here. But I must say that I have been thinking a lot about the Italian pushcart. It sounds so yummy. Maybe I will think about it when I do my menu

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Should I be calling my vendors and checking in now? I mean, I haven't spoken with anyone since like January 2003 although I don't know what I would say to them...'hi, remember me? we signed a contract, you cashed my deposit check...' lol
