Oh my goodness the day is getting close!!!! I had a few questions so I called WM yesterday, and my banquet manager decided to have me set up my final appointment! It's on the 19th of April - exactly 2 months to the big day!!! I'm getting SO nervous/excited!!!!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

cool!

where are you seating your parents and bridal party?? I'm not sure which tables they should sit at. We have to split our bridal party into two tables (and fill the empty seats with other close friends) but not sure if they should be at tables 1 and 2 and have parents at 3 and 4.

I think I'm going to put the BP at 1 and 2 and then the parents at 3, 4 and 5 (I have to keep my parents separate in order to guarantee that they both live to see the end of the day ). I've already been working out seating plans because I've got way too many people telling this one can't sit with that one, etc. this will definitely be the most difficult aspect of the whole wedding.

I'm going to put my bridemaids and their dates on one side of us and the groomsmen and their dates on the other side of us.
Then put the parents after them

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

What's up with the WM brides? Nothing new here. I am wondering when I should go for my menu.

Laura? Rebecca? Have you been called yet?

Anybody know how to handle the insurance for the vendors? Do I just give the phone numbers to WM and let them handle it?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hi Girls!

Have a question.....Has anyone asked more more time to hand in a deposit before. If so, Were they ok with it? We have a huge, heavy hit week the week our last deposit is due. We have an out of state wedding (that I am in), and band deposit due, of course our normal everyday bills. We always plan ahead, but this is just hitting hard that week....any suggestions?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I had a payment due March 1st. I called them on March 1st and told them I was sending it out later in the week, they had no problem. I'm not sure about a 'last payment' though ...

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

i don't know about the insurance thing... they didn't mention anything to me. But i think they might have a lot of these vendors info on file, since they do a lot of business there.

(could be wrong, but i thought someone had said that once)

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Do you mean insurance for outside vendors? If it is, I was under the asumption that The vendor your using needs to fax/send WB the insurance they have, there probably needs to be a contract between the outside vendor and WB.

Our last payment meaning the last deposit before the payment in full the night of the wedding.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Did anyone decide to use Cassarino Studios for photography? We selected Nick as our photographer and they just swiched and told us we had to use Dominick. So peeved right now.

If you heard any thing can you please let me know?

Thanks

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Hi - I'm new to the site - I just booked my wedding at the Westbury Manor. I had been to a wedding there a few years ago and thought the food, ambience and service were just wonderful. When I got engaged I figured I'd look at a few places that I was unfamiliar with and after looking at 2 places (apparently I dont have a lot of patience for shopping reception halls) I just went right over to the Westbury and booked. It is such a beautiful site and I am so excited to join this thread!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Do you know if we are allowed to make our own menus?

I also need some opinions. For the centerpieces are you having low or high centerpieces? I love the dramatic look of the candelabra centerpieces but I'm afraid that it wouldn't fit the room as the ceilings are kind of low.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I think you can make your own menus. If you get the new 7 choice menu, it comes with menus.

I'm getting low centerpieces because the florist said it looks better with the oval tables. I'm not really into the high centerpieces anyway. If i was to get the high ones i would have gotten topiaries, but they were expensive. But i think the high ones look ok in the rooms.
