Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

OK so once again I am totally stressing over the possiblity of my CH being in the Executive room. It looked so much bigger when we booked because the doors to the other room were open. I just know it will be jammed if we have to have it in there. My God I hope it is a beautiful day so the CH can be outside.

HEY!!! don't forget about THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING!!!!

...it's not gonna rain on your day just like it's not gonna rain on my day - because if I have to get married indoors, mother nature and I are having it out!!!! And I'll win, too!

And believe me, I invited too many people - there is NO WAY we'll fit in the Polo lounge if it has to be indoors.

I had some tables with 8 and even one had 7. Others had 10 or 12. Sometimes it's just how it works out, it didn't look bad at all.

It's usually around the two month mark. I got the phone call a little while ago, but I can not go until next week.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

For those getting married in the summer, when should I send out my invites? I was told to send them in mid-May but i feel that its to early for a August wedding. What do you girls think?

And can I pick up directional cards or do they mail them from Westbury Manor to insert in the invitation?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I sent my invitations out one month before the RSVP date or about 2 1/2 months from the reception date. I guess it depends on where you are sending them? Overseas, out of town, etc...

As far as direction cards, I think you can pick them up at WM anytime you want. I made my own direction inserts, so I am not 100% sure of that?

Pick up your directional cards from WM...they gave them to me when I booked with them.

You should send your invites anywhere from mid-May to mid-June. I wouldn't do any less than 8-10 weeks before the wedding. And make sure to leave plenty of time to chase down those late RSVPs.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

hey girls! how is everything going?
i ma in the middle of doing table arrangements. having a hard time. i was told to have table sizes of 10-14. no bigger, no larger. im in the manor room. i think i may have 8 on each side of the room. who had or is having what. im trying to figure this out. going off the sheet they gave me, it looks like two rows of tables. one closest to the dance floor and one in the back???? is that really how it is or just how the floor plan is layed out??

Thanks so much for the response I know we have to keep a positive outlook. Nothing I can do to change the arrangements so I just have to go with the flow and pray for a sunny day.
Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us :)

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

i planned on doing 3 front, 3 back.... unless they tell me to do otherwise... i'll ask when i call tomorrow. have to see what they will give us for falling below our minimum.

when she gave us our seating charts, she showed us 4 in front, 4 in back for 16 tables total. so i don't know.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

There was a recent post that Chateau Briand provides menus for the tables- does anyone know if Westbury Manor does this or intends to?
