I'm using low centerpieces also. It was what I wanted to begin with, but my florist suggested it because of the low ceilings.

is the 7 choice menu that you're referring to also known as the 'seasons menu?'

I didn't upgrade, just stayed with the seasons menu. Is anyone else making menus?

I was in the Manor room, these were my centerpieces. They fit perfectly in between the two candles. At the end of the night guests got to take them home as favors.

Mel_and_Dave, your centerpiece idea was something we were thinking of - is a florist doing it or are you making them and giving them to WM to put out? How does that work?

we are doing them ourselves. the westbury manor is going to set them up. we saved alot of money that way . the only thing we are getting from the florist is the rose petals and the bouquets

I am going to call her in a little while and see what is available and then try to conference call FH and see what is good for him. Probably a Tuesday or Thursday night, since we (my mom, FH and I) all teach on MOnday and Wednesday nights (in addition day jobs)
YAY! Look out WM, we're coming your way!

We didn't taste anything, didn't even know that was an option
We picked EVERYTHING...linens, ice sculpture, cake, cocktail hour, main courses, etc. but I have up until 3 weeks before the wedding to make changes.
We went with almost the entire Summer menu, chose an octagonal stacked cake with swags (yellow cake and chocolate mousse with bananas and strawberries inside, YUM!), and added vienese (sp?) trays for the tables. I just have to choose what color flowers for the cake...

We didn't have a tasting. I think those lucky enough to get a few samples were there at the right time when an affair was happening.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
I have a question about the flowers at the cocktail hour. I know my BM said they put out the small vase with the floating rose in it (similar to what they do in the restaurant). I was just wondering can we pick the color rose we want? Or maybe it is a standard red rose? Just thinking out loud.....

We had the viennese trays and they were a big hit. The flowers at the cocktail hour came in a variety of colors.Welcome New Vendors
