Did you ask for the bottles of wine for the tables? They never mentioned anything like that to me and I booked them in November of 04.
Thanks

There is a charge for the wine bottles .. different prices depending on the wine package - $2, $4, $6 I think ...

I just want to let all of you know that after hearing about the chair covers and etc. for this site. I called Jerry scotto myself. He is the nicest man. He made me feel so at ease about all the changes. If you have any questions just call him. He will work with you.

Let me get this right. Jerry Scotto mentioned that every bride after April 2005 will have the chair covers if requested without charge? Correct? Regardless of when the contract was signed?

Is that per person or per table?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

We booked the Manor Room in January 05 and we were told that our package includes the chair covers, champange for our guests as they arrive, menu and seating cards, the chair covers, the seven choices for entree, every table gets a bottle of red and white wine (unlimited)

If anyone is getting married in the Manor Room do you know if you get the library as well for the duration of your reception? I'm not sure if it depends on weather they garden room is booked for that same night. I forget if they told us that...for some reason I want to say yes...can someone else verify that? TIA

Hi Thumballina!
The Library is exclusive use of the Garden Room during reception. I think the Manor Room uses it for cocktail hour though (if no wedding in Garden Room at that time.)

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Im having FH call b/c we payed extra for the 7 choice menu and now its free and some of these changes are offered after our date. So I will leave it up to him to call since he is the business person, Im not good with calling and confrontation. Im a little upset b/c I thought we were getting a good deal and now it sounds like we got ripped off. And the chef they had before was GREAT!!! I cant believe hes gone. the new one my mom and I went there for dinner and we both got sick so Im a little concerned. I really dont care about presentation of the food I dont want my guest running to the bathroom every 5 minutes if you know what I mean. God, I just hope this all works out. Whenever there is change its such a pain in the a$$. I will keep you updated after FH makes the phone call. Wish me luck!!

I am getting married in the Garden Room & I told by the BM and the Matre D that the room can hold 140 MAX. You can definitely expect 10-20 percent 'No's' - so I think you'll be more than alright.

Personally, I don't plan on inviting more than 140 - just so I am extra safe!!

I got married a month ago, it was per person ... maybe along with all the other changes, they now include wine ... who knows what changes will come now that Jerry is in charge.
He was standing by the DJ booth observing my wedding and was a real sweetheart to us. It was January, but we needed to cool the place off and he adjusted the temperature no problem - I didn;t even finish the sentence and he went into the control room and adjusted it. He seems to be in total control of all his people and all his clients. I was very pleased with the servie at WM, more pleased than I thought I would be since I wasn't thrilled with my old BM (Dave) and the 'aloofness' he always seemed to have when he spoke to you. I was really worried about how the wedding would turn out, but the people who serviced us that day were on point and so professional.

Congratulations! It is good to hear that a recent bride had a good experience with the new changes!

I did last year -- it was good but dont judge the service on your wedding day according to the service you'll get on Monday. it was a bit of a mad house
