Does anyone know if WM provides any music for the ceremony?

I don't think so, just because they have recommended vendors for ceremony music.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

When I signed my contract (Jan 2004)
they did not offer chair covers.... they keep telling me to call Finishing Touch. I guess now they are included when you book with them. Not fair

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Listen Girls!!! Demand that they give you the chair covers. I am not that aggressive so I made my fiance call. First he spoke to someone named Susan and she was mean and said that we booked our wedding in September of 2004 and that was before they raised their prices to included chair covers. I was bugging my fiance every minute and he said let me try again. Finally he spoke with a different bm and bottom line we now have chair covers. DOn't give up girls, you will get them. They are so expensive otherwise. Good Luck!!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Did anyone bargain with the bm and get extras added into their contracts? One of my friends just booked fox hollow and she said they threw in a few extras.

I did not really bargain with them because I am so not good at it. But the BM did say that she would throw in a Champagne Station at the CH. I don't even know exactly what it is and if that is considered a extra.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

what's a champagne station?

Did any WM brides get a letter when they made the staff changes with Foxhollow? Apparently we were all supposed to be notified of this, but I never received anything.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I have not recieved anything from them either. I heard about this change from this website. If you ask me that VERY unprofessional! Iam going to tell them that when I call to ask for my chair covers. I better get them or I am really not gonna be happy. When do you think that I should call them and ask. now or closer to my wedding.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I would call them and say that you recently learned that they are giving chair covers free of charge to other brides in 2005 and you would like them. I think I would ask to speak to Jerry Scotto about it. I can't imagine they would have a big problem with this request - but if they do then I would ask them why it was that you heard of the change in management from a weddings website and not from the Westbury Manor.

(and when you get the chair covers - can you tell them that takeoutcook (deirdre) wants them too for her 12/3 wedding?)

good luck!

I'm thinking of booking Westbury Manor. Did they offer
you a free tasting before you booked. We were there
over the weekend and after we left we realized that
they never said anything about food tastings.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

They don't do tastings - but they have a restaurant and will give you a $25 gift certificate to the restaurant if you say that you are hesitant to book a place without having tried their food.

I was a guest at a wedding at WM and have eaten at their restaurant - the food is fantastic!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

ok. I called WM and I spoke with a BM. I told her that I heard that they are now giving free chair covers and that I wanted them. The BM told me that as of april 2005 they were giving them so I told her that I was very unhappy about the changes that took place and that I wasn't notified. I told her that I first learned about it from a wedding website and that I thought that that was very unprofessional of them. The BM told me that she will have the owner call me tomorrow about this. I dont know what to say to Jerry when he calls. Someone tell me how to get these chair covers. I WANT THEM! Thanks!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I never got a letter or anything about the change in management either. I think that is ridiculous that none of us were notified.

Mickey,
I think you should tell him what you told the bm. That it should be offered to everyone and how upset you are/were that you were never notified about the major changes they made. I'm going to have to call and talk to them about the chair covers also. Good luck. Let me know if you get them.
