Hotels:we used the Garden City Hotel (not as high price as you may think) and the Wingate Inn. Both worked out well
Cake:
Here is our cake - made and decorated by the WM

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
We booked Wingate for July 1st weekend. If you book more than 15 rooms, the shuttle to Westbury Manor is free. If you book less than 15- it is $68 dollars one way for a 14 passenger van. They were extremely helpful in organizing transportation. We didnt book it yet though.
A white town car from Westbury Manor to Wingate (one way) will cost $38 dollars. Much better than a limo, in my opinion.
So far I am impressed with Wingate. It is $139 for a room. I wonder if because it's summer?

Do you girls have any innovative ideas as to the centerpieces? I don't want a high centerpiece.. but rather, something that will work with the oblong tables.

Aww.. okay. So, anyways, is anyone else excited that they will be getting chair covers in April??? That was the only thing holding me back from signing a contract with them back then, but I signed anyways thinking I could probably rent chair covers myself for a fee - but, now the new mgmt says they're providing them free for all their weddings after April! Yay!

I didn't pick out my centerpeices yet but I am going for something long and low, with maybe a few pillar candles. I would also like to do a lace table runner. Sorry no pics because they dont exist yet, but its what I have in mind at this point.

Hey I'm loving the pictures. Does anyone else have any?The chair covers are great. Although they did try to make it seem like they were throwing them in 'just for me,' that anyone else has to pay for them...

They did the same too me....I don't really care because it was a plus at that point anyway. Still, at other places you do have to pay for them, so we are saving money :) I love the way the chair covers look. There is a picture on one of the older posts.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
Your pics are beautiful
As for chair covers. I went to finishing touch this past weekend....My mom and I had a, what we call, 'father of the bride moment' The chair cover were ~ly $2300 not including possible napkins, or $55 each for the cake table and bride and grooms table. MArianne was very helpful and showed us differnt possiblities.
When I was there she told me that WBM was getting chair covers in, but she didn't know when. I will definately wait to see them in April. This will save a Lot of money
