How many months before the wedding does Westbury manor ask for anything, such as menus, table linens, etc...? We paid all of our payments and now, 6 months until the wedding...........do we just wait for the next step?

You usually do menus and table linens 3 months before

We got our call to come in and make our food selections, pick our linens, etc. about 2 months before.

Does anyone have a picture/ pictures of how the room looks, or of your proofs if taken int he photo room.. I don't think I will be able to get to WBM for awhile....
Thanks
Sorry I don't have a scanner to show my proofs. WM was very accomodating and the pics came out great!

There was just a review of a wedding here that included pics of the studio upstairs.

I booked my wedding at the WM about 1 1/2 years ago. I was just wondering since they chef workers and chefs did the menu change at all. Did anyone go for a food tasting at the WM. I have no idea how there food is. When we first booked they told us that they dont do food tastings but I thought that that was weird.

I still don't think they do tastings...your best bet would be to go the restaurant for dinner.

Hey,I went for dinner over Christmas vacation and the food was really good.
We tried the chicken, shrimp, steak, and lobster. Everyone like their meal.
I am sure the food will still be delicious the day of. I can't wait to go pick out the menu and other things!

I haven't heard any complaints about the food so don't worry to much about that.

Some of my friends have been to weddings at the WBM and raved about the food. It is least of my worries. I think I will have a hard time deciding among all the choices to pick from for the CH.

We had dinner there. Can I say YUMMY. The service was great (even better after we told them we are getting married at the WM Nov 2005). I'll be honest I was surprised.

I heard that the chef for the resturant is different than the one who does the weddings. Is this true? And have you gone to eat at the resturant after they changed chefs? Thanks!

My mom and I were just there last thurs for dinner, the food was great but super rich. we both got tummy aches but it was delicious we had the special filet mignon and baby back ribs i think the sauce it was in was way too rich for our tummys
. the service was great, I have NO worries what so ever.

Anyone have any pictures of the INSIDE ceremony setup for WM?The outside during october has PINK FLOWERS aligning the aisle.
I think they should change that to white in case a bride may want to reuse her centerpieces!!!!!!
Plus white goes with all colors...That pink would totally clash with most of the fall color/ arrangements.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
about food tastings..I personally asked Jerry, and he told me that I was more than welcome to stop by and see a brides cocktail hour set up and sample their cocktail hour! This made me feel a little uneasy- like, will someone be crashing my CH before my guest too? ha.
He said they do that so you know the food wasn't prepped 'just for your tasting' and you know how it will be set up the day of.
did anyone do this before their WM wedding?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
this is the first im hearing of this. and i would NOT like someone sampling my wedding cocktail hour! how weird and rude if you ask me. not on my expense are they gonna do tasting! as you can see im a bit pissed about this!!!! from past WM brides they said there are NO tasting. so this must be a new thing and not happy with that- if they want to do tasting it should be on thier time and money not a brides!!! to get business or for tastings. anyone else feel this way?

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
I heard them saying the same thing. It wasn't that you come to another person's cocktail hour, they said come about an hour BEFORE the cocktail hour so you can see/taste what kind of food they prepare because they just don't have the stuff laying around the kitchen all the time. Another bride is not going to intrude on your cocktail hour, she would be long gone by the time your guests arive. You are not going to get any less food I am sure. I don't know, it doesn't really bother me.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
Oh no Im not worried about running into another bride, i thought they were inviting future 'business' to our cocktail hours to taste the food if its before I dont mind that either. I dont think we would get less food either that wasnt my thoughts just having strangers come into your cocktail hr seemed weird and rude to me but if its way before when the food is still in the kitchen I dont mind that at all.Welcome New Vendors
