Garden room brides.. I'm planning to invite 150 guest.. Hopefully this includes the vendors. Do you think I should cut my list down?
I am getting married in the Garden Room & I told by the BM and the Matre D that the room can hold 140 MAX. You can definitely expect 10-20 percent 'No's' - so I think you'll be more than alright.
Personally, I don't plan on inviting more than 140 - just so I am extra safe!!
Thank you

i actually was there this past weekend for dinner, and asked ANOTHER Matre D to see what he said
he told me it holds 150 max. Either way, you're going to be just fine!

OK I have a WM question. We are having the ceremony there and they told us they were getting us an officiant. I just kind of realized that they didn't tell us who. Is anyone else getting the officiant this way? Do you think I should call them and ask about it. I would kind of like to meet the person who is going to marry us.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
We opted to find our own officiant. Our BM made it seem as though they contacted a rabbi or a reverend and we don't want either. We are looking for a JOP or a retired judge. I'm sure if you ask they will tell you who it is.

Weird...when we booked we were told we had to get our own officiant, which is Ok because we absolutely love who we have and wouldn't have it any other way.

Well they told us they could get whoever we want, rabbi, priest, justice of the peace. I just never thought to ask who it would be. They added an officiant fee into the contract. I should probably call them.

But isn't the fee $325? I thought you could get a JOP for much less than that.....let us know if you find out anymore info.

Just wanted to rave about Jerry Scotto again. I emailed him about us doing our menus early since we live out of state and will be visiting next month. I first got an instant reply back saying he was out of the office... then I got another personal email from him saying ' I know you already got a bounce back email, I just wanted to let you know that I am contacting Kelly for you and it isn't a problem.Kelly called me today and I am really excited!!! I will let you all know how everything goes! I can't wait :)
I also love dealing with Jerry. He seems very on top of things and that puts me at ease :)

Hi girls,
Just wanted to share that I've had a great experience with Jerry too, thus far. There was a misunderstanding between my BM and me and my FH - they booked us in the wrong cocktail hour room and the BM did not want to let us change it. As soon as I said I'd follow up with Jerry and speak to him, the BM put me on hold, came back 5 minutes later and said Jerry said I could have whatever i wanted. So, very long story short - i was able to have the cocktail room changed after all.

We were told the wine was included. When did you hear you had to pay?
I was just there and was told that was only for jan and feb 05 but the wine is 2 dollars per person. I would def check into that.
