DH and I had our guests 'wanting' more all night. We had surprise after surprise just the way I wanted it!!!
--DH and I really had a hard time choosing his Best Man and my MOH. My mother is my best friend and his dad is his best friend, so why not? Not only was it unique, it was very sentimental to us to have our parents play a big part.

--I wore 2 gowns on my wedding day. That was one of the best decisions. My ceremony gown was my mothers gown. I had some alterations done to fit to me and I had the sleeves taken off (those poofy 80's sleeves) and the back taken out. It was more for sentimental purposes. For my reception, I bought a Stephan Yearick ballgown. My guests were so surprised when I walked in wearing a different dress! I was also going to wear a white version of the BM dress for my 'get away' outfit, but DH and I didn't do that after our reception.

--I also had my FG's in pink dresses instead of the 'mini-bride'. I thought it was adorable!

--Instead of the classic (but beautiful) all white bo-k, I had some pink roses put in to match my color scheme. I also had carnations pinned in the bottom and around the edges of the FG baskets (pedals in the middle), so after they threw the pedals, they'd still have flowers like the rest of the girls.

--DH and I had this elabrate set-up for lighting. We had 2 62' (I believe) TV's that had a montage of our pro ceremony pics loop while my guests were eating. That was for people who didn't come to my ceremony. Before the cake, we had a photo montage play of DH and I growing up until recent. My guests loved seeing old pictures (especially ones they were in)!

--Our first dance was unique as well. Our song was 'I don't wanna miss a thing' by Areosmith. I had my cousin Ray (singer/MC) make up a slower more romantic version of it. It was so great I smile everytime I hear it. My guests thought it was beautiful!

--My RH offered a champagne march as well. After our entrances, DH and I walked under the bridge and blah blah blah. After that my BP followed DH and I around the edges of the dance floor (once around) and all the staff came out in the in the middle of the dance floor side by side and split up left and right after we finsihed walking. They walked around to every guest (to upbeat music) and served champagne to everyone. That was awsome!

--After DH and I tossed the garter and bo-k we did the traditional guy puts on girls leg. Of course, I had to be unique. I had my cousin Ray(singer/MC) switch it up. My SIL (Tara) caught the bo-k and a friend of DH's (Nicky) caught the garter. Okay well, after put the garter on Tara, I had Ray cut the music and walk out on the dance floor. He said that something to the effect that it was Nickys turn to be embarrassed. Check out these pics!

--I'm not sure if it's common for weddings but DH and I hired a cigar roller to come in. We had personalized match books made and the cigar roller had labels with our names and wedding date on them for the cigars. My guests loved it! I've never been to a wedding with one before so that made it all the better.

--DH and I also had a veinese extravaganza! It was amazing!! With every dessert you can think of, every fruit you can think of, cheese cake, creme bru le (spelling?) Bananna foster, chocolate cordials as if that wasn't enough. We also had a coffee station, chocolate fountians and an ice cream cart with the umbrella and everything!! Wait that's not it! The ice sculpures and water fountians are somewhat unique but we had a pyrotechnics display in the beginning. It was unbelievable! A whole minute of fireworks on the veinese tables! It was incredible!!

--All in all, my wedding was different, yet traditional. In my big fat italian family, you either go big, or go home and that's exactly what we did. 1 1/2 years of planning, a BP of 28 people and 225 guests, that's exactly what we did!
