what are everyones plans tonight?

well tomorrow is my b-day so i told fh i'd rather go out saturday night and do a big dinner then rather than going home after work rushing to get ready and rushing to dinner and dealing with the v-day madness. So he made plans for saturday night for us and tomorrow going to do a little something too.

Anyways i asked FH last night what he wants to do for v-day, just relax home watching movies and fh said 'i'll cook for you' he has NEVER cooked, well twice he grilled something on the bbq which doesnt take much hahahaha...oh yeah and one time he made us grilled cheese sandwiches in the toaster oven, but other than that he doesnt know how. I loved the idea when he told me, and i can see his face after like OMG what did i get myself into...but he said hes going to try his best. I dont care how it comes out, i just LOOOOOVE that he will even do this. I got so happy and excited but i cant wait to see what he'll make and how it'll come out even if its burned ill eat it hahaha

so what are the rest of you ladies doing?

Tonight I am cooking and we are going to have some wine. FH made reservation's for Blackstone's Steak House for tomorrow night to celebrate. I'm not a big vday person, so I'm happy to not be going out tonight!!

OMG yum. the one one 57th? He has so many now, I get them confused. Have the popovers, they are amazing.

YUP! it's finally getting close; seems like forever even though we're barely engaged a year.

okay I just put on 5 lbs thinking of those popovers... with BUTTER. yum! Enjoy!

I'm cooking dinner for FH for the first time in our new apartment. It will be a very low key and quiet night but I can't wait!

My dad knows someone that works there. Then again my dad knows everyone lol


thats how my dad is too, its so funny...i remember being on a plane and somebody asked me if i was 'mario's daughter' i said yeah and they said OH you look just like him. Then 2 other people overheard on the plane and were like OMG i know your dad too, it was so weird lol. Even when i met FH, his friend was like 'yeah i know denise's dad'
And like i said above my dad knows rocco the owner of L'incontro, he actually was just talking about him the other day bc a good family friend owns a wine company and rocco tasted his wine and wanted it for his restaurant and that guy is coming here soon so my dad wants to set something up.


That would freak me out!


it does freak me out i know i look like him but to know im his daughter without knowing me and just by seeing me out somewhere and saying oh wow she looks just like mario must be his daughter is weird hahaha

i think theres quite a few ppl who go out the day after or the weekend after v-day

not to mention alot of places jack up the prices on v-day...the first v-day fh took me out we had just met a few days before and only our 2nd date, so his mom recommended this place to him...well they did a prix fix menu and fh spent $300, he mustve been W** i just met this girl i dont want to spend $300

We're going to Heart of Portugal in Mineola for dinner -- Dee-lish!

I was gonna cook but i've been sick this week and had no time to prepare... and I really don't have a kitchen yet so that was out.

Every year we go to Aureole in nyc. so we are going there again tonight to celebrate valentines day and on year of being engaged!!!

LMAO. Most places do seating at 2 times, like 7 and 9 and you have to be out by a certain time and that just isn't my style. Pick from a certain menu, eat for only this amount of time, etc. I'm not saying ALL places are like that, but most places are. I'd rather have peace and quiet tonight and go out tomorrow (although I'm sure it's going to be just as busy)

Nothing.

FH has work (Science Fair was scheduled for tonight by his school district). So I'm spending the evening alone with my cats.

I've never really liked this holiday anyway. I lost my virginity to my moronic ex-boyfriend today. He was mentally and physically abusive throughout our relationship and he is one of the major reasons I have many of my mental issues now.

So, yeah. Valentine's day is a bulls h i t holiday in my eyes. Everyone else have fun. I'm hitting the gym.

we went to 'One if by land, Two if by sea' last saturday for our anniversary/valentines
they were all booked on the 16th and 15th..

Today my FH is going to cook me dinner and I'm going to set up a nice romantic bubble bath and give him a nice massage.. I bought rose shaped soap for the bath, rose petals for the bed and massage oils and cream.. I hope he likes it~

OMG as I was writing this I got a delievery of roses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ohhh and tomorrow we are going to have dinner with this other couple for valentines at 'Black Duck' in the city

Last night after FH went to bed I decorated the whole house for Vday.

I had red and pink streamers and hung them everywhere and cut out hearts from construction paper and taped them up. it came otu really cute.

when FH left for work this morning (at 5am) he came in and woke me up to thank me for decorating

tonight its dinner and then watching ALIEN 3 on dvd.

soooo romantic!!
