what do you call your FFIL and FMIL?

I call them by their 1st names.

I dont know how I am going to just call them mom and dad out of the blue- I feel weird saying that eventhough we are close lol

same here. I'm sticking with first names and same with FH for my parents.

I call them 'Drink' and 'Madrink' those are the nicnames that their kids even call them...well minus FH lol

But I think they want me to call them mom and dad...i dontk now if i can do it.

I don't call them anything really... I'd be embarrassed to call them by their first names but equally embarrassed to call them by their last so I am kind of hoping I can just coast by on hello's and How are you's??

The day my FH proposed to me I asked them If I couold call them Mom and Dad.

I avoid it at all costs! Haha!
This has been going on and they fully know it!
His mom mentioned it to me a few times and I still continue to ignore calling them anything.

I just look in their general direction and start talking abruptly to get their attention then I continue whatever i was saying! HAHAHA!

When FH siblings write me emails about events they write mom and dad. And to date I am the ONLY person FMIL has ever text messaged! and she wrote mom to me. I think it's cute. But I havent' actually called them it yet. I think I need to be a little tipsy to do that! HAHA! So for now.. I AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS and that works... it has been working for almost 5 years. I figure when we have kids then we will decide what the lil kids will call them.. then I'll use that when I talk about them - and still avoid calling them anything for as long as I can. I don't know what to call them and if I ask they will say.. oh whatever. If I HAD to say something outloud.. i'd go with their first name or mom and dad. But most likely their first name. I get awkard feelings sometimes! HAHAHAHA!

I would like to continue calling them by their first names. I don't know if this will work because I think FMIL will want to be called mom, but I didn't have a mother growing up really, so that word doesnt fly to well with me. Also, my dad raised me and my siblings by himself, so I don't know if referring to someone else as dad is fair. Hmmm, I dunno.

i call FMIL Mary-Pat and mom some times - i don't really address FFIL, we dont see him really, but when i speak about him i call him nick.

I call them Mr. & Mrs. A. Really just A haha, not just hiding the last name. I have more of an issue with the extended family, like aunts, uncles, grandparents. I've only now, at 4 1/2 years, started referring to the aunts and uncles at least by first name. Grandparents I still just kinda hey there...

After we're married, I don't know. I know FMIL will probably want me to call her mom, but I just don't know. FFIL FH doesn't even call dad, he calls him baba, so if anything i'd have an easier time with that since it's not dad. But I was over a few weeks ago and FBIL's girlfriend was like oh hey bill (FFIL), and I almost dropped dead on the spot.

I was talkin with a friend about that the other day lol. I never called her anything but ( hi say hello, hi etc) but i would call her Ms, Mary (mary her first name).

LMFAO! I do the same thing! When I call I just say 'hiiiii it's Sabrina ....' and dont call her anything and FH does the same to my mom.

this is so hilarious to me!
