The only person wearing white should be the bride, I agree. If the color was champagne then I wouldn't mind, but white yes.

Personally, I wouldn't care. No one is going to be mixing up me and my mother no matter what she's wearing. Everyone will know you're the bride!

I just don't know....this is the dress my mom has picked out....is it normal for the mob/mog dress to drag a bit in the back too?????

If YOU don't mind about the dress, then it should not matter. However, it might nice to have some color in the family photos.
If you and your mom are both in white and the men are in black tuxedoes, all the photos with your parents will be in black and white.
With that said I have seen some beautiful photos )Conigs and Camacho) where the bridal party was in black and white and the pics are gorgeous.

I think it is totally up to you if you want her to wear that color. If you don't mind....your call. As for the train, my mom had a train on her gown and we had some snaps added to the back so it could be bustled for the reception. Is she dead set on that color? Can you go see it in person before she purchases it? Maybe it does look different in person. Good luck

Well she swears its Ivory! She lives in another state and my wedding is 24 days away so I won't be able to see it before and she's running out of time so I need to let her know tonight. I'm really not happy with it at all but I did see someone said their mothers dress dragged a bit so its not a first.

Without even scrolling down to see other responses first.....I would NOT be happy. It is the brides day to be in white and that is a rule that everyone knows. Well not every cause some don't listen, but how they missed it when most people do it beyond me.
However, there are so many GORGEOUS mother of the bride/groom dresses out there, that there is no reason they should have to wear white.

I think she should definitely be wearing a different color other than white! I'm not picky about a lot of things but I'd insist on that! Otherwise it's a pretty dress.
