I know it must be beautiful, but what makes it so much better than anywhere else (especially when we are talking Honeymoons)? I am not really sure I understand the obsession. Its just whenever anyone posts polls or questions about honeymoons its all Hawaii Hawaii Hawaii with some other places thrown in. Believe me I am not knocking Hawaii at all, I just don't really get why so many people think its the best place to go when there are so many options out there, especiall when you consider the cost and the length of the flight.

I think Hawaii seems awesome...FH and I have never been so we would LOVE to go there for our honeymoon. Although we are currently torn between there and Tahiti.
To each his own though. Some of you who are asking 'what is the big deal about Hawaii' are all going to the Caribbean or Mexico for your honeymoon.....to some of us we wonder the same thing...what's the big deal? I personally would never go to Mexico or Caribbean for my honeymoon b/c I have been to both several times so it's just not special to me. Your honeymoon should be special...so if Hawaii, Mexico or the Bahamas is what is special to you - then go for it! Different opinions is what makes this world so interesting!!!

We chose Hawaii.....bc we figured we would never take that LONG flight again........and spend the money to do so......

I travel alot, and have been all over the Caribbean and Mexico. We choose Hawaii because it is some place that is not so easy to travel to. It is a long plane ride, it is expensive, and you need at least 2 weeks off from work. What better time then to go on your HM. I went to Hawaii along time ago, and it was beautiful!! There is so much more then just beaches. It is a different culture, even if it is still the United States. You can't beat the Sunsets, Luau, volcanoes, waterfalls. This is why we picked it. It is a popular destination, but there are many reasons why.
The only other places we considered was Aruba, Tahiti, and Europe. Tahiti was becoming to much money. To go to Europe we wanted to go on a cruise. We cruise alot and wanted something different, also we didn't want to sight see so much. We figured we would do this for our 1 year anniversary.
So it was between Aruba and Hawaii. We went for Hawaii.
Any place you go on your HM, will be special! This is just why we picked Hawaii.

FH and I went to Hawaii in November for vacation and it was awesome. Everyone we met kept asking us if we were on our honeymoon and it felt awesome actually saying 'no, we're just on vacation.' lol. We do want to go back for our honeymoon though..we truly loved it and had such a great time. I HATE to fly and the flight really wasn't that bad. You watch movies and eat and just hang out with each other and sleep and before you know it you are there. There's so much to see and do or you can do nothing at all, as we did some days. Even though it's part of the United States, it's nothing like anyplace I've ever seen. I work in travel and travel quite a bit and it was the most beautiful place I've ever been.

Well it was not my first choice for our HM...my first choice was the amalfi coast, but FH did NOT want to go to Europe....He just wanted to go somewhere to relax...apparently we have to travel 6000 miles to do that.
In all seriousness, I finally agreed to go there bc it IS a place that would be difficult to get the time to go to for any vacation.
