What words do you hate when someone pronounces differently than you?
I hate when people say on-velope instead of envelope. I also hate when people say fuss-trated instead of frustrated.

Oh, and I don't have an LI accent at all but I still laugh when my cousins from upstate NY pronounce my name AIL-ison instead of AL-ison.

probally instead of probably Febuary instead of February prostrate instead of prostate (two totally different meanings!)
I could go on.
The nucular (instead of nuclear) one really bugs me too.

I hate when people add the 'er' sound to words that end in an 'a'
My dad has a bad 'NY type' accent and pronounces my name as Jessicer

Re: What words do you hate when someone pronounces differently than you?
My DH is from the South- they say things differently and oftentimes put the emphasis on the wrong syllable.. for example.. when we are watching TV he says it TEEvee instead of teeVEE....
Exspecially instead of Especially... Liberry instead of library...
