I am not giving up my life nor my girlfriends ...
I so did not mean to offend you. You should do what you feel is right, and you`re right, it`s different for everybody.

I think what`s more disturbing about this thread...
No one is saying that you should give up your life with your friends. Of course you should still do the things that make you happy. I think people should, however, need to take other their partner`s feelings into consideration and realize that their decisions, whatever they may be, affect two people, not just one. Also, sometimes a person`s partner may act a certain way or disagree with something and they may not be upfront about their feelings right away or they could have a irrational and preconceived misconception that could be harmful (that was why i asked what her FH thought they would actually be doing on the bacholorette party). Personnaly, I would never want to feel restrained from doing or saying something because I am married but I do try to remember to include my FH in my decisions and to really find out what he thinks and why he may feel the way he does. He does the same for me. In her case it turned out to be primarily a money issue, not a - you can`t goaway on your own thing-. She needed to know that and I am sure that she is happy that she does. That`s all that I was saying. I know one of the hardest things for people to do is give up some of their independence but it is a necessary action and that is what you are doing when you think as a team and not as a single person. My FH and I are a team who will make our decisions together AND i still have independent likes and interests. Also, I know him well enough to know that he is not always as divulging with his feelings right away and it may take him a bit to fully express himself so I try to give him time to do so. I think a lot of guys are like this as women usually like to confront everything and are more open about their feelings and men... well they just wanna run and hide (ha ha). I just think you should talk about things and decide together. Of course if it was merely jealousy/trust issues that were uncovered in her case that was why i said previously that this may need to be addressed further as I personnaly do not believe that is not healthy.

Cira - where are you going locally
Cira..I think you made a nice compromise. Money can cause a lot of relationship issues! Do you know where you are going locally??? I know people go to the Hamptons, Montauk, NJ shore, what are you thinking??

We don't know ... I was thinking more like Boston, MA ...
Cape Cod - but we have to decide. My friends really are the greatest. We even thought maybe spa during the day, dinner at night. I'd rather do the weekend thing - it gives us bonding time.

Spas are awesome getaways
I went to a Spa in Vegas for part of my bachlorette and we had a blast. Then my husband and I stayed at a spa in Vermont for part of our honeymoon and it was just as great. If you like to know where we went let me know.

Topnotch Spa and Resort in Stowe VT
It is about a 6 hour drive from Queens NY and the Spa is located on a strip of restaurants and stores in beautiful VT. The INN is on a hill and overlooks a mountain. There is horseback riding right across the road and a full service spa within it. They have two incredible restuarants. The food was incredible. We had a package for 4 days 3 nights which included breakfast. I never ate such a great waffle I now can't eat a frozen one after I ate their malted waffle. And the syrup is devine. You can find them online. If you go let me know how you liked it. They also have a small bar too. It is not a place for partying but great for relaxation, hiking, shopping and quiet time.Welcome New Vendors
