Whats the rudest thing you have noticed at someone elses wedding?

I mean rude in the way of the bride and groom ..(if anything)

Last november, friends of ours had a wedding out in Rhode Island....It was extremely expensive to stay, plus we had to travel three hours,a gift, and take a day off work. Which was fun, so it was not that big a deal. BUT- this ticked me off, not once did the bride and groom acknowledge our friends....even at the wedding!!! They never greeted the tables...the wedding was about 150 people. I found that to be EXTREMELY rude.

That is rude. I mean brides always get mad at guests bc they want them to RSVP ASAP even when they have 2 months to do so. The guests are spending money and when its further away then yes staying at a hotel and paying even more money. SO much is expected of the guests and brides always get mad. If a guest is doing all this then at least a hello should be expected.

Brides care so much about things a guest do and sometimes expecting alot, but then when the day of the wedding comes you dont acknowledge them, yeah very rude

The rudest thing I have noticed at a wedding? A guest wearing a white dress to the ceremony! =P

I didn't get so much as a hello from the bride at the last wedding we went to and FH was a GM. There were about 125 people and I understand how busy a bride is on her wedding day but I'm absolutely going to make it a point to say hi to everyone!

so far I've never seen anything rude done by the Bride & Groom actually. The only thing that ticked me off at this last wedding I was in, was when the groom's ghetto family showed up in jeans & crap (even the one who was doing a reading at the ceremony). Talk about lack of common sense, huh? It was a very nice hall, I don't know what they were thinking. Maybe others aren't bothered by this, but I was (so was the bride & groom actually). It's kind of disrespectful, in my opinion.

And then groom's stupid cousin who was dressed in huge thug jeans, an old white t-shirt, and one of those big gold chains with a backwards cap, kept hanging out in the bridal suite for some reason. The bride was soooo mad, but didn't wanna tell him to leave. I totally offered to kick him out, but she didn't want the drama. Rude, rude, stupid people.

This may not be rude but I found it extremely tacky. I went to a wedding where you had to pay for soda. The only thing you could drink free of charge was water, not filtered, only tap.

well, i MAKE it my business to go up to the bride and groom at a wedding - i think when there are that many people its just easier to make your way over to congratulate the couple - just because the bride and groom may go over to each table that doesnt mean YOU will be at your seat when they make their way over and that isnt the couples fault - so if you really want to talk to them, approach them....at least that is how i feel and that is what i do....i approach the couple i dont wait for them to find me - thats unfair to think that the bride and groom have to find over 100 people without forgetting who they talked to already

i think somebody wore a white dress to my wedding i didnt notice the day of, guess my mind was elsewhere but in the pics i can see somebody with a long white dress, although in person i could've sworn it was silver but maybe it was the dark lighting and thats why i didnt notice. To tell you the truth, i dont care. The way i see it is if youre going to wear it, then ppl will look at you all weird not me.

Also, i went dress shopping with MIL and found one dress I LOVED and knew it was perfect for her and her style. SHe said NO WAY bc it was champagne colored. SO she was gonna go with another dress, took some convincing but i had to let her know i really dont care and that i honestly thought she should go with the champagne dress and to please do it. I know others would've freaked but i didnt care.

Where do I start? All these incidents happened at the same wedding.

1. Bride cursed out her bp (including me, her MOH) for not riding the shuttle with her from the reception to the hotel. She had a meltdown in front of all her guests at the wedding at the hotel bar. I think she is haunted by her behavior to this day.

2. Making us pay 3 dollars each way for the shuttle (never told us about the fee for the shuttle)

3. Cash Bar (never gave us heads up so weren't prepared)

I also go up to the couple but sometimes its hard. There are times I sit there stalking the bride and groom to see where theyre going, i am not going to go up to them while theyre at another table, then the other times its hard bc theyre either with somebody or doing something important. But i also go up to say goodbye if i didnt get a chance to all night.

I'll be honest with you, the few times i get annoyed at my wedding were when people came up to me when they shouldn't have. Like pulling me off the dance floor or while i was talking to somebody they would pull me away. Then the worst is that after i went around to each table, a line formed by my table for some reason for ppl to talk to us, it was a very long line and i was just on the dance floor but someone pulled me away and thats how it started. I was running around like such a maniac i barely had a free moment. You get pulled in every direction by the guests, vendors, maitre'd, they go over everything with you first so gets hectic

if you see the bride and groom attempted to say hello to most of the guests but then at one point they had to stop for whatever reason then thats different. But if they make no attempt and dont go up to anyone thats when i think the OP is saying its rude

I always do this as well, even if I only get a half a second of their time. I go up say congrats, you look gorgeous and be on my way. Now I'm one less stop they have to make.

Oh no I get that. But we were with them the whole weekend! They did not acknowledge us there either!!

I have to admit...I'm slightly guilty of this myself... I had all my TYs written before the wedding but they never made it out so i wanted to re-write them b/c they all said 'See you at the wedding'

As far as my wedding TYs, we haven't picked a pic yet...I think my fam is about to disown me!

I agree. It was so hard to greet everyone. We went around to the tables but it was hard to get to everyone because not everyone is at their table when you're there. There are definitely people I missed but with 185 guests it was kind of hard to remember who I missed.
