Re: Where are my 2009 ROYALTON brides????
June 29 here. I want to get ready there all depends on my hair.
The girl I think I'm using works out of a salon in Great Neck and Roslyn but is off everyother Sunday so I guess it depends on that.
I'm working on my honeymoon now. I think everything else is done. Just spoke to Thomas Paul about video...excited...all I have left is the litle annoying things...hair/makeup jewelry shoes, etc.

Aug. 7 here!! I still have not decided if I'm going to get ready there. I love the idea of it but my church is so much closer to my house. I guess I have some time to figure that out. A friend of FMIL just loaned me her son's wedding video from last year at the royalton and it looked amazing!! When do we get to do the tasting???

We did our tasting before we booked. We wanted to make sure the food was good, and it was amazing! As far as ch stations, we already decided that and wrote it all into the contract. We're not doing any hot stations because we're not into that. We're doing all crudites, huge cheese spread, mediterranean table with hummus, roasted veggies etc., a cold antipasto station with fresh mozzarella and meats, and 12-14 passed hors d'oeuvres. For signature drinks, we're going to do sour apple martinis and a pomegranate cosmo! Our colors are green and this crazy bright purple color, so we wanted to signature drinks to mirror that :)

we are having 7 stations and I did an around the world theme for the stations...mexico, italy, tuscany, etc....also we are having 16 passed around...it will be amazing im sure...im not into the signature drink I think that is more for showers or bach parties and not so much for the wedding...we are having drinks before the ceremony and a full top shelf bar during the reception... Allegra...what did u taste before hand??

I realize now that I must have had too much wine that night bc I can't remember specifics ! We had an absolutely delicious Chilean sea bass, a filet mignon, and an oven roasted chicken dish. They were all outstanding. I can't remember the appetizers, but honestly everything was so good! We booked that night. HTH

Re: Where are my 2009 ROYALTON brides????
Hi Everyone!!
We should keep these Royalton brides threads going more often. They're fun! I'm getting married there next July 11. I'd like to get ready there, I'm just not sure if there will be another wedding going on. Does anyone know if the Royalton let's you get ready there even if there's an afternoon wedding going on? I have to call Gerard and ask. We were so hardcore wedding the first few months and now we're in that lull period.
So glad to hear everyone rave about the food. I can't wait to have our tasting!!

Re: Where are my 2009 ROYALTON brides????
One of the things Mike T suggested because I didn't want a carving station was to put a BBQ on the patio and grill up some meats, etc. I think a carving station is boring unless you do something interesting. We went to a wedding ths summer where they had a whole pig (that would not go over well considering my mom and sister are vegetarians).
I also see alot of people doing mini or slider stations. Even mini tuna burgers, mini grilled cheese, mini burgers, etc. with fresh cut veggie fries.
I want to have some traditional and at least one unique station. but nothing stupid like a mashed potatoe bar. We are also having a sushi station and shrimp bar as extras.
