why is all this happening a month before the wedding?

So,
I came home from work today...long day we are playing war, in gas masks, ect...and I receive a message from my father, that my parents, brother and sister aren't coming to the wedding. My sister is the flower girl mind you. As a wedding present from my grandmother, she paid for their plane tickets so they could be at my wedding. All they had to do was pay for THEIR expenses. My FIL are paying for the wedding. I have paid for half my sisters dress and was just about to order her shoes. They tell me that they can't afford the wedding I have helped them, my future in laws have bent over backwards and my grandma just paid for their plane tickets...I'm so mad. They didn't even want to call my future in laws to tell them to cancel the cottage! And my mom has to THINK about my sister coming...she wouldn't be flying alone, my BM will be on the same flight and my brother and sister n law will be at the wedding as well! Why is all this happening?????

sounds like you guys are paying for everything so I don't understand what expenses they have.I think no matter what your day will turn out great!!!!!!!!!!!

Its my fault, I should have guessed it, they want my FH and I to pay for them...mind you...military doesn't make crap!

I just keep thinking that it doesn't matter because I am marrying the most wonderful man! He will be there and that is all i need!

I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you so close to your wedding.......not sure if this will make you feel any better, but my siblings (I have 3), won't be at our wedding either So I feel your pain, trust me!

I am so sorry-but really that's just wrong. They knew your wedding was coming and should have saved better. Since their tickets are paid for, one of the main costs is cut. Hang in there. The people that are there will make your day special, not the people that aren't.
