so many things to list. but these are my top two:

1. the summer-tourists on the 5:10 to montauk (first stop is babylon). they feel the need to give their bags their own seat - hello!!!!!! there are regular commuters who do this everyday, so don't act like a biatch when i ask you to please move your bag!! commuters end up standing so that the tourist's bags don't have to move the tourists act like they own the train which drives me up the wall. last friday i had to walk up 4 cars to finally find a seat!!

2. i have recently noticed that the LIRR does not clean the trains between runs!!!!!!!!! i'll get onto the train and the garbage will be EVERYWHERE!!!!! i pay $20.50 daily for this ride - i would like it to be garbage-free!!!!!

Cherly- I was just writing about when people cut there fingernails. It is beyond disgusting! I have a fear that a stray nail will hit me and I will go nuts on these people. Clip your nails in the privacy of your own home you animal!

Oh and here's the best part.....I used to work with a guy who was a LIRR employee. He was constantly calling in sick and used to tell me about how him and his buddies would sit around all day watching TV in those little station thingys and play cards and crap. But the absolute best is that he showed me his pay stub and he made over $100,000 a year!!! This is what we are paying for!

I can SO sympithize with everything you gals are saying....but this is a 1000% improvement over what the trains and Penn Stations was 15 years ago. If the train was EVER ontime it was a miracle!! Trains would break down in the middle of 2 stations and people would have to get off one train and get on another. There was never heat of a/c when it was susposed to be.

I am not a fan of the LIRR, I wish someone else would open a New rail road and give them some competition!!

People who snore as loud as my husband at times

People who shove you trying to get on the train (and very often they are men! I think MichelleW said it once they probably would shove their own mother on the track and not care )

People who throw their garbage on the floor (or even their dirty snot rag they blew into!), how nasty!

People who stare, I think that is my biggest pet peeve, what are you looking at!! I know we all do it but geez!

People who sit practically ontop of you or someone that watches your every move....ugh

When women come on the commuter train with their kids and their kids are as loud and annoying as they are!!!

I hate the conductors....I had an argument with one of the girl conductors, B*@$! once. She was never seen on the train again.
