It mostly drives me crazy when I hear it on TV. I can't think of any examples right now though.
My brother used to mock this trend when he worked in a university registrar's office & say he had to registrationize people I love that one!

Re: Words
It bugs me when people say:
'X-specially' instead of 'especially'
'weary' intead of 'leery' or 'wary' (weary is to be tired; leery/wary is to be suspcious of something).

Re: Words
How about irregardless! That's not a word! My cousin also always says 'in reference to it' at the end of a lot of his sentences.
Maybe I should AKS him to stop!!!

I once ended a relationship partly over his use of the word X-specially. Come on, your an actor shouldn't you know how to say especially!!!!!!!

Re: Words
'disorientated' instead of disoriented
My boss starts many a sentence with the phrase 'Also, too' that one really makes no sense to me!!

Re: Words
OMG, my former colleague ALWAYS used to use 'conducive' wrong.
She's say things like, 'it's important for your employees to have a conducive environment' or 'it's important that your employee's environment is conducive'
CONDUCIVE TO WHAT??????

Re: Words
My Mom always tries to sound all hip and says 'dips' instead of 'dissed'. Like 'He was dips by that comment'. It's pretty cute when she says it. She also says 7/24 instead of 24/7.

Re: Words
I hate when people say prolly! The word is probably!! I've even seen people spell it that way when they're writing. Have you ever seen that word in a book? No. That means it's not a word!
