I am listening to Z100 and they are talking about weather it is wrong or not to 'up-grade' your e-ring.
I say that I would never change what my sweetie gave me. It means too much to me already.

Nope...love mine.... but who knows...my mom reset hers after it didn't fit her anymore after 30 years!.

FH and I already discussed that I will eventually get an upgrade. The ring I have now is an heirloom, and when we have kids to pass the ring to, I get a new one!

My FSIL had her stone reset after 10 years of marriage... they original style just wasn't her anymore and it was a high setting and not comfy anymore. Her current setting is gorgous!!!
I picked my setting with FH and it's a simple classy style, so I don't forsee myself having it reset. I don't get tired of my jewelry

to be honest I wouldn't mind. It wasn't like he proposed or anything like that. we agreed and then after we got married he bought me a ring that he could afford. My ring is small and beautiful but later on I would love to upgrade it. jmho.

No way! My ring was made especially for me, designed by my fiance (of course with sketches and 'must have' lists from me!), and was given to me on what is now the best day of my life. I had to wait so long (we've been together four years this month) for it because he wanted to be able to give me the exact one I wanted. My ring is my baby and I would never ever change it.

Definetly can't wait to upgrade. FH asked me what kind of ring I wanted I told him(and even showed him pictures) A princess cut diamond with bagettes on the side. So what did he get me......... a pear shape with princess cuts on the side.I wouldn't tell him but I'm honestly not a big fan of it,and the band is so thick that it makes the diamond look kinda small and it's not real sparkly. Anyway it's nice in it's own way, and I probably would've liked it more if he would've just suprised me with it, instead of asking what I wanted and getting me something completely opposite. The ring was kind of a let down then. But if he just wouldn't have said anything I probably would've liked it more. I don't even wear it now, not because I hate it or anything it's just because we had a baby and it won't fit on my finger because I'm FAT!!!!! Andrea

hmm I dont think so. I love my ring. It is a huge colored diamond and the thought of what he (actually we lol) would spend to upgrade is kinda scary. Plus I think its sentimental and I wouldnt want to not have it in my possession unless he took the stone and made a different setting

I WOULD UP GRADE THE RING. FH BOUGHT ME MY RING BECAUSE HE WANTED TO AND WANTED TO GET ENGAGED AT THE TIME. HE ADMITTED THAT IT WAS THE ONE AT THE TIME BUT WOULD HAVE LIKE TO GET A DIFFERENT ONE. SO HE DOESNT MIND...HE IS THE ONE THAT REALLY WANTS TO DO IT.

Nope. FH made sure that I got the ring I wanted. He said 'I am spending too much money to put soemthing on your hand that you will wear forever if you don't like it. ' Some people tell me that knowing what the ring will looked like or picking it out was spoiling the surprise. I say it was more practical for his sake. I have found though some research that mre often than not, a woman goes with her FH to pick out her ring. Geez my own mother did that 49 years ago and guess what? she is still wearing the same ring and loves it.
