I love my Italian last name (which means friend) but I also dont mind FH last name so I am going to take it. But I will always be a 'Friend'

I don't think I'm going to take FH's last name unless we decide to have a family. He has a 15 letter greek last name and I always said I'd hyphenate, but how can i???? ugh!

I want him to take my last name he said no and I wanted to keep my last name or hyphenate but he got my family to gang up on me so I gotta change it. After 31 years its going to be wierd to have a different name.

Oh man, this is a constant battle. First of all, no, I don't really like his last name all that much. It's not horrible, but it's weird. And at first I said I'd change my name, but keep my maiden name at work (I'm a teacher). This was ok until one day I mention in passing, yeah so on my SS card I'll just add your name at the end...making my current last name a middle name. For some reason, this is not ok with him. Ughhhh.

love my FH last name - White is short sweet simple. My maiden name would be too long to pronounce or hyphenatew with White so Dr. White I feel is perfect. :O)

its going to be weird to have a new last name but im lookin foward to it. fh last name is polish so its goin to be funny for me because im hispanic. in the end i dont care. its not like im changin my first name

I love my last name but i like FH also. I am my fathers only child so his name ends here. I am going to use both names. The only problem I may run in to is that his last name is very french and no one ever pronounces it right.

I like FH's last name, but I still think people will have difficulty pronouncing it like they do with my last name.
