family heirloom. FH paid for the setting. but i did have it appraised/insured so i know what THEY say its worth, but its absolutely priceless to me.

I picked my setting out but not the stone so I don't know how much it costs. I have a ball park curious maybe but I don't want to know.
What if he spent less than I think I am worth--lol

I have an idea, but that's only cuz my sister let it slip. I don't want to know, he put his heart into it and he really doesn't want me to know, so for now, i won't. He even took care of all the insurance paperwork so i wouldn't find out.

I had an idea because we were shopping for it together and then after he proposed I saw the appraisal papers so I can get it insured.

I know what mine cost- he gave me the receipt to keep with the inspection certificate!
