Hi Ladies- I'm looking for your recommendations on what your favorite cruise lines are & why. I'm especially curious if anyone has done a european cruise & what line they've been on! Thanks for the input- I've never cruised before & I'm trying to gather info for HM plans! Oh- and for those that have cruised before do you normally book direct, through a ta or online? I know its alot of questions- so thanks for the help!

I love Royal Caribbean. They have nice ships and their food is really good. They have some good shows and lots to do on board. I haven't sailed on any other lines to compare it to but, I was very happy the three times I sailed with them.

Royal Caribbean Celebrity Princess Beautiful boats, great food, and lots to do. Celebrity is a bit of an older crowd though, but not too bad. The food is excellent. Princess is reasonably priced cruises, but they do a fantastic job. They have really nice pool areas, the best I have seen out of other cruise lines. Royal Carribean, lots to do, probably more then the other two cruise lines I posted. Also have a really nice pool area.

We loved Royal Caribbean, it was so nice and they really run a tight ship (ha ha ha)
We've been on Norwigen too, but it was 10 years ago, but I remember LOVING it.

Haven't been on a Royal cruise yet but my FH's cruise loving family hands down favors Royal. I've been on the Princess and Carnival ships (actually got engaged this summer on the Valor) but for a honeymoon I think it would be beautiful to cruise Europe...look into the packages Royal offers. Always have been a big fan of Royal Caribbean. However, for our honeymoon we're going on the Costa cruise line and doing a Mediterranean Cruise leaving out of Venice!!

I LOVE CARNIVAL.
the others are great but carnival has a younger crowd. I mean...the food is great the shows are fun...the atmosphere is young and diverse...
i have been on a few different ships. Mainly to the caribbean (southern eastern) and to the mexican riveria.
FM if u would like details.
I have gone through the carnival site and a site called Vacation Outlet. Both give a pretty good deal.

Never been on a cruise, but travel agent recommended Royal Caribbean. Going on a honeymoon cruise in Feb.

My favorite is Carnival also. Alot of people give it a bad rep saying its not as nice and too family oriented -- but I enjoy the younger crowd and the food and entertainment is great. I've done about 5 Carnival cruises (and we'll be taking our HM on the Carnival Valor in June) and loved them all. I went on one Royal and had a terrible experience with them, although I know a lot of others who love them. My parents are going on a Princess tomorrow so I'll let you know what they think.
I went straight thru carnival to book ours, but I know my mom used CruisesOnly to book a bunch too. You just have to call each and compare prices sometimes.
