your new last name

for girls who will be taking their husband's last name, i'm curious to see who is really happy about it, and who is not so thrilled...going only by the name itself, not your feelings about actually taking his name and becoming his wife...i'm pretty sure we're all really excited about that aspect...

but i absolutely HATE my last name...

so for me, i am REALLY happy about the name change!!

I love his last name more than mine. I am just upset because I have had my last name forever so its going to be weird not having it anymore. I don't like change too much but I will get used to it.

I've always HATED my last name. Lets just say it rhymes with a deli meat and always got made fun of as a kid. But I would rather keep my last name than take FHs. I hate his more!! Its so long and doesnt have a nice sound to it But I like the idea of taking my husbands name.. so even though i hate it, i'll be taking it.

I love my last name. It is only 3 letters. His last name is 12 letters. I always have to concentrate when I spell his last name.

I am undecided about what to do with our last name situation. I don't like the idea of us both having different last names. And please- to hyphenate it. There might not be enough spaces when filling out forms.

im no tinto what mine will be..i actually hate my FH last name..i looove mine..thats why my thingy syas 'mrs potato chip' cause his name rhymes with a popular potato chip that comes in a can and once you pop you cant stop

it taks away any culture i had..lol..nobody will think im italian anymore..

I love my last name. I really do and always felt that it was a good stage name (professor have told me that too)

BUT FH last name is awesome. I have always loved it so I do not mind taking his name.

I am excited to be Mrs. (fh last name) I really am!

im not sad..but my last name is of Spanish decent and I dont look spanish at all...so I feel like Im losing my 'hispanic' side b/c thats all I had for someone to recognize that I am half latina.

I'm not happy about it at all. both our last names are long, and hard for anyone to figure out how to say. mine is easier though, and italian. I don't even know if I want to change it. his name is so easy to make fun of also. all my friends do that with his last name. I told him we should just both together get a new last name to share lol. something simple and cute. he didn't like that idea.

I am really happy to take my FH last name. I never really had my father in my life and have been waiting to get rid of my last name ;)

I love my last name, but i am very excited to take his last name. My last name is italian and i have always been first, the first 4 letters of my name are Abba
Im not giving away the rest lol

but his starts with an M so i will be right in teh middle

its just whenever i look at a list thats alpabetized im always first, in school i was always first. I guess its a good change!

I love his last name. I am just sad to see my last name go. Mostly because my father has no boy airs to his name and I am the last one to have it. Oh well, life goes on.

I really like my last name better than FHs. It's longer and harsher sounding than mine. He doesn't care if a change my name or not which I will anyway.

im curious to know what yours is..we can compare whos is worse.
We both have german names but his is recognized as german, and im told mine is but it doesn't sound ethnic at all.

Its also a little funny b/c my first name (sort of) rhymes with his last name...

i cant, for the LIFE of me write my first name & his last name together comfortably.;.. but im practicing!!

I LOVE my last name. It may sound weird.. But I love the fact that my first, middle and last name all have 6 letters... I like how its even.

FH's last name sounds weird to me (its only 5 letters).. and its going to throw off the 'even' name i already have.

I tell him I will take his last name, but I am going to add a letter at the end
