Christina I am so sorry honey...I remember whe my Granmother passed - she was also in the hospital & had been going through several mini strokes over 5 years and each time making her worse. When she was last in the hospital she had the flu very bad to the point her lungs were filled with fluids & couldnt even breathe...they were able to drain the fluids & she started to do a little better, but the day she passed I was in college at the time (in the middle of a death & dying religious class @ St. Joe's) & I saw both my father's parents at the front of the room (they were both deceased already) Then I get a 911 page from my dad's secretary which then turned out to be a false alarm b/c she was trying to reach my dad & not me - it scared me so much I told my mom I wanted to go to the hospital right after school - my dad said to wait - we would eat an early dinner & we (me & my dad) would go together. We get to the hospital only to find out she passed literally 2 min before we got there...2 min...2 min...it haunts me forever that I never got to say goodbye to her b/c of 2 min. What was even harder than that was having to go home to tell my mom that her mom had died. I will never ever forget it for as long as I live.

I normally wouldnt share so much, but wanted you to know that I do understand what you're going through & want you to be thankful that you will be there to say your final goodbyes. I am so sorry she is suffering so much, but hopefully the doctors can keep her comfortable enough until she passes. please fm me or call me if you ever want to talk about this. love u.
