Re: question for those who get legs waxed..

I hate shaving so I prefer to get my legs waxed. Unfortunately it is so expensive that I usually have to shave. It doesn't really hurt but I've done it often enough where I might just be used to it. It is the least painful waxing you can get though, so if you do a lip waxing, or eyebrow waxing or bikini waxing, this won't hurt as much. They say the hair should be at least 1/4th inch long. I don't remember how many days I waited after i shaved to go. I wait until I see the hair visibly and I can feel it when I rub my hand on it. It's annoying that you have to grow it out first but I always feel like the longer it is when you get it waxed the better it lasts. I'm hairy so I always feel like even with the waxing, the hair grows back too fast. For me it only lasts about two weeks. It is usual to get red spots and irritation when they wax so make sure you do it two days before your event so that it has time to heal/look better.

Re: question for those who get legs waxed..

The longer the hair is, the better. It helps the wax get a good grip. Hurts, but not too bad. Bikini line was way more painful.

Also, you might have to go back for a touch up. Sometimes in growns don't grab onto the wax so round 2 would be a few days later if necessary.

Re: question for those who get legs waxed..

I would say at least a week or two...you need it pretty long so they wax can grip it and pull it out.

Re: question for those who get legs waxed..

I've had legs, underarms and brazilians.

to me... legs hurt the most.... everytime. i think if you go a lot you start to get used to it though. i'm def NOT at that point.

good luck!!

Re: question for those who get legs waxed..

I used to do my underarms until I had them lasered.....I'd say wait about 4 to 5 days...maybe even a week.

Re: question for those who get legs waxed..

I was so excited when I came across this post; mainly because I literally just went through this last month - I am also sicilian and thought this would be so easy for me, but as they say...'a watched pot never boils' and aparently when you actually need the hair to grow on your legs... it doesn't grow long enough It needs to be about the length of a grain of uncooked rice. My main excitement stems from the fact that I found the most AMAZING waxing girl - she has a 'spa room' in her house and is the kind of person that even in such an uncomfortable situation, makes you feel at ease. Her name is Kristin - FM me if you want her #; I LOVE her!!!
