i meant to ask yesterday, is there a difference b/w yukon potatoes and those idaho potatoes? or are those the same thing?

\

I'm pretty sure they are different. Yukons are like a butter yellow inside, not as white as idaho.

right?

yup! Idaho potatoes are the same as russet potatoes. They are usually used for baked potatoes. Yukon Golds have a more yellow color inside and out. They're much creamier than russets, which is why they make the best mashed potatoes!!!

i can never find yukon anywhere. made mashed potatoes w/ the russet instead.

anyways, had a total food shopping fail last night. went to grab parsley b/c there was a sign right below it and i went to pay for it and the cashier asked me what it was and i'm like, parsley and he's like, i don't think it is. i apparently grabbed rosemary. i had no idea what parsley looked like

I have to laugh at you. I thought you were going to say cilantro because they can kind of look like flat leaf parlsey but rosemary is a whole different spiny thing

rosemary and pork is delicious together though so it probably wouldn't have been a fail

hah i was thinking the same thing!! thats ok lol. Now you need some rosemary recipes lol I get yukon golds at stop and shop

Would they still leave yummy stuff in the pan to deglaze? that's the best part!

Yes it should! You probably won't get as much but still... Just make sure the pan is super hot.

Also....can you share some yummy Salmon recipes? I have a bunch of salmon in my freezer from Alaska but everytime I make it comes out YUCKY!!! So I want to try again until I run out! I honestly think it's just a bad sample of fish, but who knows.

I love the raw stuff but never really cook it. Ina garten has a great asian salmon recipe that I should try and post!
