MY 7/11/08 Wedding Review(better late than never) Chateau La Mer, Flower Barn, F I N E A R T Photo, ***** Brdl Lounge, and More

I know how these reviews helped me so much when I was trying to decide so I wanted to take the time to write this review to tell about all the amazing vendors/ People who gave me such a perfect wedding! Here goes:

Chateau La Mer: Words can not explain how perfect my wedding was and in a huge part because of Nick and everyone at the Chateau. The place was gorgeous! We had the ceremony outside on the water and then was taken by boat to have a champagne toast while the sun set. The pics we got on that boat are some of our top ones. The staff went out of their was and was unbelievably accommodating. The food was outstanding and guests were offered second entrees if they wanted. People still comment on the food. Also, between the water, the palm trees and my steel drum band it was more like a Caribbean resort!

F I N E A r t Photo: Unbelievable is the only word to use. From start to finish (just got the final revision on album so its about to go to print!!!) they were incredible. I still tell everyone that gets engaged they HAVE to meet with them. I had more than 2000 proofs and they let you revise your alum as many times necessary to get it perfect. The were professional yet extremely fun and they stayed until the last guest left. All you have left after the wedding is your pics so to me its the most important vender- I cant think of a single negative.

Lillette's Bridal Shop: My dress was gorgeous and reasonably priced. The staff was amazing and became like family( I spent alot of time there!) They did a fantastic job.

***** of Brdl Lounge: My hair and makeup was exactly what I wanted. I loved it and it stayed all night. I've had my hair done in the past and it fell w/in hours. I had her and an asst. come to the house and do mine and my bridesmaids hair/makeup. Just one word of advice. Make sure you don't wait until the end to get done. She wanted me to be last so I would look the freshest but time ran out and I was sort of rushed. But she still did an awesome job. Plus, she came all the way to the reception hall to touch me up knowing I would be in heat all day and then be on a boat(but it only goes 5mph so didn't really mess hair up). She came on her own time to do that.

Flower Barn: My CP's and Bo-K's were beautiful. The flowers were in perfect bloom. I let Mike do his thing with a few suggestions and I was not at all disappointed. Everything was perfect and delivered on time and the price was the best out of all the places I looked at.

NY Photobooth: We did the photobooth and a candy buffet for favors and it was such a cool touch. Everyone loved it and we got some of our funniest and most memorable pics from it. Plus they made a guest book where the attendant took a strip of pics from each guest and mounted it in the book and guests signed next to pics. It will be a fav. coffeetable book of ours.

MB Events (DJ and Lighting): The DJ/MC was amazing and they kept the dancefloor alive all night. The lighting was so cool and one of our favorite touches- Marc made it feel like a cool NY lounge. He uplighted the entire room with constant color changes. Really made the room look awesome.

Fr. Rich Hasselbach (Officiant): Fr Rich became more of a friend and advisor then just the person that married us. He met with us dinner many times to get to know us and made our ceremony so personal. It was if he knew us our entire lives. He will forever stay a special and significant part of our lives.

Tropical Beat Steele Drum: We used them for our ceremony and cocktail hour music. It was cool and different touch and they played great! They even stayed a little late to play without charging extra. Definitely worth it.

Designer Limo: We got a huge Limo bus as we were getting married at the hall. It was beautiful and clean and very reasonably priced. Only thing was the driver was extremely rude- he wouldn't even help my BM's carry their bags to the bus(they were all done up and in heels). Also we were told our ride to airport was included(we were only suppose to tip driver) but when the car came to get us at 5am he gave us a bill. We called to complain and they took it out of driver's tip, which wasn't fair to him. It wasn't his fault.

Campbell's Bakery: We had two bakery's to choose from and we checked out both but Campbells was definitely the better choice. The other place wanted to charge extra for EVERYTHING- Campbell's didn't. Also we found out that the other place made their cakes days in advance, Campbell's made theirs fresh daily. The were so accommodating and the cake was amazing(Vanilla custard with fresh cut strawberries /bananas and fresh whipped cream) and Im not even a cake person. Flower Barn gave me extra flowers and Nick from Chateau decorated the cake.

EzCalligraphy: Michelle did such a terrific job with the calligraphy on my envelopes and the unique handmade placecards. She was quick and very accommodating and always available.

I hope this helps someone out there! Good luck with your weddings- don't stress just enjoy...its over so quick.

Beautiful pics; my friend is getting married here bc she wants a South Beach feel! She is also going to have steel drums.
