My daughter had her reception here this past weekend. The food...service...and the accommodating staff were all phenomenal! Everyone who came had an amazing time! Our maitre d Derrick went above and beyond! Everything was perfect! I would give them 10 stars! I highly recommend this venue to all!!!

This was an excellent wedding! The venue was beautiful and well maintained. The bride and groom arrived via boat which was a very cool addition. The staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating and professional. Jerry the bartender was amazing too, making friends with everybody he met. The whole experience was just fantastic. I would recommend them time and time again.

There are only two words to describe our wedding at Chateau La Mer as well as the extraordinary treatment from all of the staff: Absolute Perfection!! What girl does not dream of a fairy-tale wedding, with a beautiful water view on a gorgeous day at a magnificent venue? I sure did. Initially what led me to Chateau La Mer was of course the beauty of it. Sitting on a quiet street with a breathtaking view, it was quite the sight to be seen. The next thing that impressed me was the amount of food included in their price; which was spoken about for hours and hours by our guests. Not only is the quantity of food incredible, but the quality of food is out of this world. Guest upon guest would come up to my husband and I on our big day, saying 'Oh my goodness! There is so much food!! AND it's delicious!!' Compliment after compliment came from one friend or family member to another. 'Gorgeous', 'breathtaking', 'delicious', and 'Intoxicating' (no pun intended) - were among the compliments we received. Now, many of us read reviews when we scout our our dream venue for the big day and we all know that reading review upon review can definitely be exhausting. What ultimately made our day beyond our wildest dreams, was the quality, kindness and genuine concern that each and every staff member has for you and your 'spouse-to-be' to have that unforgettable wedding you've always dreamt of. They were all absolutely wonderful. Katie, our bridal attendant was also quick, efficient, kind and incredibly warm. I actually live out of state but am originally from NYC and so naturally, I have pretty high expectations. What true New Yorker doesn't? To add, Planning a wedding with 150 people from 400+ miles away can definitely be a hellish experience which truth be told, is kind of what I expected. Before we chose Chateau La Mer, my initial thought was 'oh boy, this is going to be A LOT of work'. I will tell you right now, it wasn't. Robert Drago - our Maitre' D was out of this world!! Step by step, moment by moment, he was constantly calming any worries or concerns I had [and trust me, I am most a definitely a worry-wart]. Fortunately for me, Rob was my first-contact at Chateau La Mer. From the moment I met him, he assured me 'Christina, this day is about you and your husband. I'm here to make your dreams come to life' and he absolutely did, beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I've been to big fancy venues with stiff staff who merely does what's necessary. Throughout the entire process from beginning to end, Rob was there. He truly went above and beyond his job duties. He knows the difference between business and personality and trust me when I say- there was a lot of personality at our wedding. His way of dealing with different people from different backgrounds was incredibly comforting. No matter who it was he was dealing with- whether it was my husband and I or a guest at our wedding...he made us ALL feel special. My husband and I both appreciate being catered to to some extent, however I did not want someone following me around every second of the night. Rob stayed back and gave us our space, yet when we needed him, he somehow appeared with exactly what we were looking for. To be honest, he could probably double as a magician too with that quality. Seriously though, in every specific and detailed aspect of the wedding from financial questions, to decor issues, to concern of certain guests and my desperate need for red-bull after such a long day- Rob was there. My husband and I simply could not have asked for more. My husband and I had our biggest, wildest dreams come true on 4.13.13- a day that neither of us will ever forget. I first went to visit Giorgios a couple of weeks after I got engaged. I walked into the place and had that same feeling as the feeling girls get when they try on their wedding dress, I knew it was the place I had to get married at. At the time I met the BM, Robert and he was everything I could have wanted in a BM. At one point we thought I might rush my wedding and get married in 9 months and I thought that I couldn't possibly do this. He told me he would come in and we would sit down together and call every single person he knows until we get everything done. If it wasn't because my groom couldn't get married in the 9 months im sure it would have happened. Even though we didn't book our date he kept in touch with me constantly on prices and trying to help me and my groom book our date. I booked my wedding at Giorgios and unfortunately for me he no longer works at Giorgios and now works at Chateau le mer. I will admit I was upset when I found this news out. When I told him I recently booked my wedding he told me even if I needed help he would be there to help me plan. I really couldn't have asked to have met a better BM and I wish he could have been around for my wedding. He made me feel like he genuinely cared about me and wanting my wedding to be everything I dreamt it would be when most BM's do not. He is a great person and you are lucky if he is your BM at the Chateau le Mer.
