Anyone else have an FH that works ALL THE TIME

My fh is a mortgage broker and lately he has been working like 80 hour weeks. I know he is stressed with the wedding and we want to buy a house and have a baby shortly after the wedding, but I feel like I never see him anymore (and we live together). The sad part is when he is home he is so tired or stressed out it makes it hard for us to connect with each other lately. I know he is doing it for our future but I miss him and I hate seeing him so worried all the time.

BTW, we make pretty good money, I have been teaching for 6 years and he is even in the process of buying the mortgage company he works for. I feel like the financial stress will never end.

Anyone else in my boat

Well - yes & no...

My FH works in retail sales. His ONLY days off are Tuesday & Friday which means the only time i see him during the day is if I take off of work. He works EVERY SINGLE SATURDAY & SUNDAY unless we are on vacation & he works in a VERY small store - meaning only 7 people (including office help) work there. He can't call in sick. The last time he did - he broke out in some weird rash - I LITERALLY took pics of the rash & we went to his job to SHOW them that he wasn't screwing around. It's rough.

ETA - when he works during the week - it's until 9:00 at night...

No FH actually gets out earlier than me.

BUT i used to date a mortgage broker and oh god i remember those hours, it was crazy. I am sorry :huggy

if hes thinking about buying the company, will his hours be better? i know someone who owns a mortgage company but cant remember what their hours were like

Thanks Denise, I know one day he will have people to do the work for him, but this past year has been a little rough. I am a wino now, out of boredom. Having some Merlot as we speak

Its not so much the hours its the times that he works. He's usually gone from about 11AM to 12AM...lately they've been cutting back hours so he'll get home around 10:30-11PM..which is actually a big help. But it ***** because the hours we do spend together are like in the middle of the night and there's really nothing to do!! Thank God we live together or I'd never see him..at least we get to see eachother sleep!! lolz..

It really is rough!! He's waiting on another job, and even though there will be long hours there too, at least when he is home they'll be some daylight!

FH works 75 hours at least EVERY WEEK
it STINKS!!! plus he works when i'm either sleeping or home from work

this is a sample week for FH:
Sun, Sat 6AM to 11PM
Mon, Wed, Fri 6AM to 1PM, 6PM to 11PM
( i get home at 5PM! )
Tues, Thurs 12PM to 11PM

I HATE IT! But I can't complaing because he doesn't work from December to March!

He should be done with the buying part by January and I am sure his hours will be more crazy for a while until he is comfortable and then they should slow down some

yeah just look forward to him being the boss and hopefully having flexible hours

lol well friday is his early day! its the only day he gets out at 3! lol he's really looking foward to it..j/k lol

oh thats soon though, i thought maybe it would be a longer time. It will all be worth it in the end

MY Fh is a teacher, works MOn-Fri 8-5. I dont see him during the week. You girls are lucky you get to see your FH's, I have to wait for the weekend to see mine

nope we dont live together - and i LOVE the winter LOL

i have to say though, as a warning, that your FH's hours may get worse when he owns the business - that is what happened to us

i thought he would be able ot make his own hours, and maybe ONE day in the future he will - but 'good help is hard to find' and FH would rather work all the time than trust his employees!
