hey - for those who are getting married (ceremony) at the FH, how did you word your invitations?

The Fox Hollow
Woodbury, New York

?

That's what I did. I'm also including a direction card with the invitation so that the actual address on Jericho Trpk is there for the guests.

cool, thanks!

I just got married at the Fox Hollow two weekends ago! I was outdoors for the ceremony, in the restaurant for the CH, and in the Winter Garden Pavillion room for the reception.

I know how crazy it can be planning, especially as it gets closer to your date, so feel free to comment here or FM me! I spent way too many hours scouring the messageboards for answers, so if I can save you girls that trouble, let me know!

OOH! You did exactly what I am doing (hoping the ceremony can be outdoors, but everything else is the same!) And I see that your wedding was a daytime one ... how was the room in day light?? I am a teeny bit worreid about this (but not too much because I know people will party regardless of how light it is). Can't wait to see your pics!

CONGRATS btw!

I think they told me that they can do this, yes - I would imagine it would depend on how many people you have coming though, I think the round tables can hold more than rectangle -- and the rectangle ones take up more space, I think. I would have liked to have rectangle, though - I think I have too many guests though.

hahah! i couldn't sleep imagining this new hue i picked to incorporate into our wedding. so i needed to satiate my wedding appetite and get on-line! i'm nuts...

we are doing fleece throws as favors and i found them at a reasonable price at ikea, and as much as i love the icey blue they come in, i keep thinking about pinks & reds....

i can throw in pinks with hues of blues!

no sleep for me this morning. we got to get our butts back into jersey to pick up more throws (we took all the ones they had the other night).

have fun at the docs!

i love the idea of long tables - more intimate. we're inviting 130, but expecting 80-100, so we may be able to pull it off. it seems like more people will be able to actually speak to one another as opposed to just the few that are at either side of you.

how many are you having?

Room was GORGEOUS in daylight. It was like an indoor garden party. And, EVERYBODY danced!! Especially me!

We had 100 people, and did 9 round tables, plus the sweetheart table. From what I heard from people, the cocktail hour (with such a smallish group of people) really paved the way for meeting/greeting, and people were able to float and chat at the reception because of that. Most of our tables were 10-12 people, so they were fairly large tables.

If you do the rectangular tables, be sure and post pics! I'd love to see how they look in the room!

We are inviting the max I think - 156 - but hoping for 140-145. I think if you have 100 people, you could do the rect tables - if there is 10 at a table that's 10 tables of 10 ... I don't think they can hold more than that .. not sure.

Docs was fine, just got a flu shot ... but of course I had to wait 45 mins .. i had a 9AM appt. How do you get that backed up so soon????

This happened to someone else -- I think Snowflake - Laura - got hers before DavenJess did ... Jess is getting married in Jan and Laura in Feb .. and we thought maybe it had something to do with the size of the party ... ?
