I just got married at the Fox Hollow two weekends ago! I was outdoors for the ceremony, in the restaurant for the CH, and in the Winter Garden Pavillion room for the reception.

I know how crazy it can be planning, especially as it gets closer to your date, so feel free to comment here or FM me! I spent way too many hours scouring the messageboards for answers, so if I can save you girls that trouble, let me know!

OOH! You did exactly what I am doing (hoping the ceremony can be outdoors, but everything else is the same!) And I see that your wedding was a daytime one ... how was the room in day light?? I am a teeny bit worreid about this (but not too much because I know people will party regardless of how light it is). Can't wait to see your pics!

CONGRATS btw!

Room was GORGEOUS in daylight. It was like an indoor garden party. And, EVERYBODY danced!! Especially me!

Thanks for letting me know! I like that look of a garden party so I'm happy to hear it. Your dress is gorgeous! It looked like you had a blast.

I just got my letter today in the mail. I can't believe how close it's getting.

we didn't get ours yet....

i vonder?

This happened to someone else -- I think Snowflake - Laura - got hers before DavenJess did ... Jess is getting married in Jan and Laura in Feb .. and we thought maybe it had something to do with the size of the party ... ?

hey, thanks! i was getting worried. Fh thought it might have something to do with circumstance.

91 more days, and savoring each & every one of them!

I would call. My wedding is smaller, in the WGP, and a month after yours. Plus when I got my letter today it was unsealed, not a good sign.

We had:

Penne ala Vodka - A
Shells w/ Broccoli Garlic & Oil - B+ for good, but boring (for the veggie folks we had coming)
Roast Maryland Turkey - A
Seasoned Pastrami - A+
Seafood Newberg - did not get to try
Beef Bourguignone - did not get to try
Eggplant Rollatini - B+ for good, but nothing special
Sausage & Peppers - A+
Spanakopita - A
Moussaka - A+++++

They gave us the Seafood Boat for free, and it was a HUGE hit. Very tasty!! So A+++++ for that, too, even though it wasn't my personal favorite. I was all about the Moussaka.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Hey girls. When did you book your room at the Inn (if you're staying there)?

One of the 09ers just told me that June 20, 2009 (when I'm getting married) the US Open will be in town and rooms might get booked up. Now I'm worried! Should I book my room now?

What about all my out of town guests....I wasn't going to send them any info about accommodations until I send out the Save the Dates 1 year before the wedding (June 08). I was planning on giving them the option of the Inn or the Executive Inn since I know Fox Hollow will be out of most of their price range. Do you think 1 year before the wedding will be a good time to start blocking off rooms?

Opinions? Thanks!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I booked my room at the inn more than a year ago....there's no penalty for cancelling, as long as it's more than 24 hours in advance.

I'm 90% sure i'm cancelling....i just can't see spending $250 when i need to leave by 10am anyway.....(leaving for the HM @ 1)
