Well, yes, technically it is the lagoon. What I meant is that the little critters can swim wherever they want!

Hey ladies,

After much researching DH and I finally booked our honeymoon to FP.

1 night Tahiti Intercontinental - Garden Bungalow
5 night Moorea Sheraton - Garden Bungalow
2 nights Bora Bora Pearl - Garden Pool Suite
2 nights Bora Bora Pearl - OWB

SOOOOOO Excited.

Also so worried about what I hear is very expensive food. I keep teasing DH that we are going to be eating baloney sandwiches while enjoying our OWB

BTW, I found a forum on www.tahitiexplorer.com all about french polynesia. You can get lots of info and advice from people who visit there frequently, or even live there.

I have not heard anything about bugs in the garden bungalow. FH and i are aslo staying at the moorea pearl in a garden bungalow with private pool. You could always call the resort and ask them if they have had a problem with bugs. Anyhow, as soon as we get to the Pearl, we are going to ask for a room upgrade..

You can try looking up information and reviews on the hotels on www.tahitiexplorer.com and www.tripadvisor.com - I have found both sites very helpful.

Congrats - sounds like a great trip. The Bora Bora Nui looks really nice & luxurious!

I'm also staying in the garden bung. with pool at Moorea Pearl - I've also heard about the bug problems......and those darn roosters! They better not wake me up too early every morning. Although I'm sure it won't be an issue - I hear you go to sleep early there so you're up pretty early. There's just more of a bug problem with those bungalows b/c you're in a garden. I'm sure it'll be fine though

Yes, i've read there are bugs (just like any other warm island) but just bring bug spray.
