The Papeete airport has a storage room where you can store your luggage. You have to pay for it, but that's what we did when we had to kill a couple of hours before our flight home.

Awesome! Thanks for the info!!!

You're welcome! Just one more thing about that: when we were there last August, the storage room was in a small building near the parking lot, not in the main terminal area. There were definitely signs that you can follow, though.

I highly recommend going downtown and checking out the roulottes near the tourist information center if you have a few hours to kill. They're there after 6 p.m. It's a fun, festive area with so many food vans and people.

How about the disposable video cameras from CVS? I bought one for a cruise, and thought it was pretty neat.

I have a video camera but it was bought 5 yrs ago which means it is totally old school and out of date...I hate how that happens. Technology has changed so much in just 5 yrs! Nowadays any video I take is just on my regular video camera...I have 2 Kodak cameras and both take great video...so I'll probably just use that.
You could always register for a video camera!

Girls...sorry I'm finding good stuff on the Tahiti-Explorer boards today...

You have to check out the pictures this guy posted from his HM...they are amazing! WOW - I could stare at them all day. Only hotel that I am going to that he went is the IC in Papeete (and I'm only spending first night to sleep there)...but just seeing all his shots really put me in a good mood...thought you girls would enjoy them as well. He stayed at the Sheraton in Moorea and the Bora Bora Nui. And some other island too he went to...here is the link to his slideshow in Kodak Gallery:
Reviewers Pics from Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora - from the Tahiti-Explorer boards

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

NEW review of Thalasso...just posted today. In review is a link to his photos. Sounds like he had some problems with service...just a few kinks that I'm sure will improve as time goes on. You have to expect some problems with a brand new hotel. Good to hear that the food is so delicious! Esp since it is free breakfast and dinner!!!

WOW - I'm in love with their pictures!!!!!

Smara - SO COOL that you added 2 more nights! I'm jealous - so how many nights total is that now for you? That is great!

I hope Thalasso stays UN-booked for Nov and Dec when I am there so that there are empty sapphire or diamond OWBs that I can get upgraded to!
One of the reviews I posted above - they got upgraded to a sapphire OWB...so that is good to hear! I can't even wait to go! Going to be the best trip ever.

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

That is good to hear! I cannot even wait to see the Thalasso. I was all excited thinking Le Taha'a was going to be the most luxurious part of my HM....now I'm thinking it won't top Thalasso!!!

Hey are any of you going to be buying yourself a Tahitian pearl??? I feel like I should just b/c it's the thing to buy there but I have to say I don't even know if I really like them that much. I'll have to see. I might get one for my mom and MIL if I'm not that into them.

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

Le' Taha is going to be awesome.. its very luxurious - he priced it out for us to go there for the 2 days we just added but it was alot of mulah and we decided to do some shopping in Tahiti and enjoy the clubs/bars.

Yeah I am not into pearls either but feel like I should get one..but they can be pricey I might do that as well and get my sister one as a gift. She would love it.
