What is the difference between the Emerald, Saphire, and Diamond rooms at the Intercontinental Thalasso in Bora Bora?

Someone told me that her friend said the rooms at Intercontinental Thalasso Bora Bora were small. Is this true? Have you heard this anywhere?

I don't think I care much about the size of the room but more the view and quality of the resort as a whole.

the ROOMS ARE HUGE. They are bigger than all of the resorts on that motu.. trust me..

we had an emerald. the difference is the views. we had a view of the sunrise in the am and we overlooked the resort
saphire looks more toward the volcano thing- that peak and emerald rooms have a totally non obstructed view of the volcano thing (what is that called?)

i remember walking in to our room and SCREAMING cause it was huge.

Totally agree.. its huge and to be honest its not even a room. The living room is a separate room from the bedrooom. I was in awe when I saw it for the first time too.

For those of you concerned about the view... which trust me once you are at the thalasso and in your room you wont give a crap where your facing, I was in Bungalow 225 and it was facing the lagoon. You saw some of the Volcano but were looking at bungalows too. It beautiful all the way around.

I'm pretty sure we are going to stay at Intercontinental in Tahiti and Bora Bora. St. Regis is just too expensive.

Did you guys book the hotels from the actual site?

They have low price guarantees.

They charge you for the room 30 days before you check in and not now, right?

didnt book from the site, we booked through a travel agent and i suggest u do the same.

Just got back from Tahiti today..very tired and i've got work tomorrow.

Girls, do you think it's worth it to go to Tahiti/Bora Bora when you can only be there for five days (4 nights total)?

FH is doing residency and can't take off for more than a week at a time. There is no flexibility.

jmo-- u are spending a full day flying, keep that in mind. you wont even be accustomed to the time difference and u will have to go home.
but it is up to you.

Personally- I think so. Time the flights so that you spend little time in Papeete, and head straight to Bora Bora.

Or maybe postpone it to a later date?

Dont be sad.. I would re schedule or do 1 nt Tahiti and the rest in Bora Bora.

yeah- you can reschedule it so- say you leave on the monday flight and get there monday night. then u arrive in bb on tuesday and then stay four nights, that is good- u will leave on sat.

i just feel like if you can take a mini honeymoon and then wait until next year and go on a long honeymoon so you can fully enjoy tahiti

JMO- that is just how i would do it..
because it is just so far away!

True... not to deter you away from your dream HM - but you can do Anguilla and stay at Cap Jaluca (Carribean). My sister went 3 yrs ago, its beautiful.

I think we will have a short minimoon and schedule our bora bora real honeymoon a few months after the wedding.

then we could go for 8 days. (take 5 full work days)

I hate the evil hospital empire who owns FH.

i just emailed dh and said, hey want to go to thalasso in march- they are having a special on the OWB - 650 a night including breakfast.

we spent 1k a night when we just went!

LOL

That is how bad i want to go back!
