Is it THAT much cheaper in March? The weather difference isn't significant.

march is considered summer there- the wet season
april through nov is considered winter their- the dry season
however, at any time of year, the rain fall is not significant!!!

You can add me to the list.We are going to Tahiti/Bora Bora after all. We decided to leave a week after our wedding so we can spend a whole week there.
We will be staying at Intercontinental Tahiti and St. Regis Bora Bora. So psyched!

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!
I couldn't get your gorgeous pictures out of my mind. I did not want to settle for anything less for my HM.What activities are you planning to do in Bora Bora?
Is anyone doing the private picnic?
Why is a picnic soooooooooooooo expensive? Why is EVERYTHING wedding related so much money??? They are totally taking advantage of our manic bridal states.

Christine, here is my reviewMy must do's are Villa Mahana, scuba diving and the shark and ray feeding.
We didn't do the private picnic- it was too much money for us to spend, but I definitely would have done it if were possible.

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!
I just got a really cheap quote from tahitianvacations.com.I was wondering if any of you brides used them to book.
I don't even remember asking them for a quote. Then again I did a lot of travel site surfing.

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!
I have some exciting news......FH surprised me last night and told me he has been in talks with our travel agent and he extended our HM by 2 nights! So now we're doing 12 nights instead of 10...I can't even tell you how excited I am! He said it was easiest to tack on the 2nights at the end so instead of 2 nights at Le Taha'a - we'll be there 4 nights...which I'm excited about b/c our beach villa there is HUGE and just looks so incredible - I was sad to be there only 2 nights. I know there's not much to do in Tahaa but I'm excited about just relaxing and doing nothing at the end of our trip before heading home and back to work! He said this was his way of thanking me for all the hard work I've been doing for our wedding planning and all the research I've done for the honeymoon. He said it's the trip of a lifetime and he felt like 10 nights wasn't enough for going somewhere so far away...I'm glad he feels that way and did this! We both really need this long time away - we've been dealing with a lot lately (his dad is very sick with cancer and we've had some major family issues to deal with lately)...lots of stress! I can't wait!So my new itinerary is:
Nov. 27th to Dec. 9th
1 nt. Tahiti Intercontinental
2 nts. Moorea Pearl
5 nts. Bora Bora Thalasso
4 nights Le Taha'a Private Resort and Spa!!! - I believe he said we're doing 2 nights beach villa there (these rooms are better here than OWBs b/c they are so huge and have outdoor shower and pool) and 2 nights OWB - fine by me since both rooms look amazing!

are you staying at the st regis? If not, then i would use the spa services that your resort offers. they are amazing.
i would suggest the sunset cruise. it is only an hour and it is fantastic. very romantic.
