I'm working with my travel agent now on rebooking our trip....hoping to go for 12 nights from March 5th to 17th, 2007! Hoping all the same hotels still have availability...keep your fingers crossed for us please!!!

K&E you had better take amazing pictures!


Oh we are total picture/camera people so I promise we will take a ton of amazing pictures! I'm actually buying DH a new digital camera for his Jan. birthday - one of those big fancy ones that takes amazingly good pictures - just for this trip!!!

And it seems that Air Tahiti has once again changed the days of their direct flights....so we just might have to go for 13 nights instead of 12...oh well

Do you know what days they change the direct flights to? I have my trip booked already and haven't heard anything from my travel agent. Thanks.

as far as i know they no longer fly direct on mondays to tahiti, bc i was supposed to be on that flight...now i have to stop in LA.

Just some Monday flights have been cancelled...some still run. Check with your TA.

We are either going for 12 nights from Feb. 26th (yes 2007 - so soon!) thru March 10th...OR....13 nights from March 2nd thru March 15th!

Either way we'll be there for my birthday - can't wait!!!

Thanks for the information. I spoke to my travel agent today. They are not flying on June 4. We were just going to change it to June 6-17 adding a night but they don't have any OWB in bora bora that time anymore so we might have to go on the 4 the a connecting flight. Hopefully there will be a cancellation and we can go 6-17. I refuse to give up my OWB.

I'll be staying at Le Taha'a for 3 nights in March so will report back to you - have heard only amazing things!!! A friend of mine stayed there and loved it. There are 2 hotels in Tahaa...both on their own separate motu. 1 is Le Taha'a and the other Vahine Island - which one are you staying at? I'm assuming Le Taha'a since you said luxury resort - but you didn't mention which hotel on Tahaa...let us know.

you should definitely check with your travel agent to see if they still have a monday flight the day you are leaving. KandE said they are certain days they dont have them. We were supposed to leave on June 4 and they don't have the direct flight on that day anymore. They do have a Wednesday flight.

Is Moorea THAT much better than Tahiti?

We have the option of staying in Tahiti for a few days or we can just stay 1 night in Tahiti and then spend a couple of days in Moorea.

It's just that we think it's a hassle to unpack, pack, transfer to the airport, fly, get to the new hotel, check in, unpack, etc...

Please share your thoughts.
