we are leaving june 5th, 2006 (wedding is june 4)

we had originally booked with liberty about 2 months ago, but we had booked 3 nights tahiti and 9nights intercontinental thalasso bora bora. when we found out the construction was not going to be completed yet at thalasso, we got a little worried so we rethought our itinerary, and ended up booking with in and out travel because they had better price.

I guess i will be one of the first to be able to review thalasso for everyone

We'll be there some of the same time (but not on the same islands at the same time)... we're getting there June 12th!

Oh.. you're making me worried about the soft opening of IC Thalasso on Bora Bora's.

I'm departing on June 12th:

Tahiti - 2 nts @ Tahiti Sheraton/Lagoon View Room

Moorea - 3 nts @ Sheraton Moorea/Garden Bungalow

Bora Bora - 7 nts @ InterContinental Resort & Thalasso Spa/Diamond Overwater Villa

However, my FH and I are thinking of adding another island.. so, we may change our itinerary slightly.

Congrats - sounds like an awesome trip you have planned! and WOW that you are staying at Le Tahaa for 6 nights...that is amazing. I could only afford to do 2 nights there! My friend stayed there for 3 nights and she just told me their bill when they checked out....now this is not for the room b/c that was all paid beforehand,.....just for food and drinks and whatever for 3 nights was just under $2k!!! I almost died! It's so expensive there!

Anyway great trip you planned...I can't wait to hear back from all of you about the Thalasso! I want one of you to seek out the best Emerald OWB for me so I can put in a request for it.

Hey Ladies!!! I am now going to Tahiti!!!! I won the trip that includes Tahiti, Bora Bora and Moorea... I am trying to add a couple of nights extra to stay longer! The trip doesn't include insurance, and I was wondering if it is really important???? And how much it is? My TA is going to get back to me, but I figured I would ask you guys first..

Congrats on winning the trip... I didnt add the insurance, but I think its something I am going to do. Just havent had the time to contact my agent.

Bora Bora Thalasso girls....have you checked out the website lately. I just realized they put up new contruction pics as of Feb. 2006.....looks like it's coming along quite nicely.....

hi :)
didn't mean to make you worry. We just were worried because our stay there was pretty much the entire trip. We still decided to stay at the hotel, we just cut down the number of nights and added a different island. I called up thalasso myself, and they swear that everything there is finished, and there is not major construction at all, and they said that they are currently training all their new staff at their other intercontinental hotels so the service should not be an issue. Hope this helps :)

this is all i know, as per dave,
'The wholesaler's insurance for $129.00/pp is CANCEL FOR ANY REASON. If you want cancel for medical reasons only, then there is insurance for $99.00/pp that will cover the entire package, not just land only.'

i think we would get it regardless cuz you never know what can happen. HTH

Thank you.. It's good to know that you will still stay with IC Thalasso. I really like their property from looking at the website and hope it'll be all worth it to stay there.

I have heard that you can book all of your excursions the first day you arrive. That is what FH and i are going to do.

BY THE WAY THALASSO BRIDES: I just looked at the updated pictures -- it is going to be amazing! I absolutely cannot wait!!!!

Speaking of excursions....I want to do one of those motu picnics but they seem crazy expensive. Anyone know if they are maybe cheaper on one island? I imagine they are more $ on Bora Bora - maybe I should try and do that on Moorea.

Thalasso girls - so you know how we get free breakfast and dinner with our stay....I am there 5 nights and am definitely going to want to go out to dinner sometimes....like we definitely want to check out Bloody Mary's. Are any of you planning to go out to eat too or just take full advantage of the free dinner? I guess we'll try the free dinner our first night to see how it is....then decide from there.
